"...And I'll see you all in the next video. Bye guys!"
I beam and wave wildly at the camera before leaning over and pressing down on the 'on/off' button.
I stand up and wander over to my wardrobe. I'm sporting my go-to outfit for filming: a pretty top on the top half with some old, baggy pyjama bottoms on the bottom half. That's the beauty of being a YouTuber, no one can see past your waist.
I realise, though, that this outfit is, unfortunately, not acceptable to the rest of the world so I whistle to myself as I sort through my extensive collection of clothes.
I've grown quite a successful beauty channel over the years, even though I'm only 17 years old. I have just over 3 million subscribers and so companies often send free gifts, like clothes and makeup, to me via my P.O. box. Because of this, I have quite a full wardrobe and makeup bag, which I will be forever grateful for.
After a little while of searching, I eventually slide on a black skater skirt, that goes perfectly with my top, before feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. It's from my boyfriend, Daniel.
'Heyyy u still want to go see that movie tonight? ;)'.
I smile at the screen before typing out a reply,
'Yep, looking forward to it. I'll meet you there :)' .
I head downstairs and waltz into the kitchen where I find my older brother, Louis, sat at the breakfast bar.
'Morning.' I say as I pass him, my throat slightly sore from talking to a camera all morning. He grunts in acknowledgement. Well then.
I grab a cereal bar from the cupboard and sit down next to Louis. He looks up briefly before looking back down at his phone and saying 'Why're you ready so early?'. By early he means before midday.
'A 'Good morning Heather' might be nice.' I sigh.
Louis gives me a look and repeats his question, 'Why're you ready so early?'
'I'm going to Phoebe's.' I reply, opening up the wrapper of my cereal bar.
Phoebe has been my friend for as long as I can remember. We met in reception whilst fighting over who got to play with a Barbie doll until one of the teachers had to come over and suggest we share. We soon became inseparable and may have caused that teacher to regret her suggested compromise. Although I've met many new friends through YouTube, Phoebe will always be the person I'm closest to.
I'm going over to Phoebe's so I can come with her to her audition for a new film for moral support. Phoebe may not be a YouTuber, but she loves being in the spotlight.
'Why are you so relaxed? You're usually extra rushed in the mornings.'
'I checked the kitchen clock on my way in, I've still got plenty of time. About 20 minutes.'
'That clock's half an hour slow.'
