Chapter 3: The Actual Beginning

Shadows P.O.V.:

     I step out of the dark alleyway as I start to hear Mal singing. I assume they started singing Rotten to the Core. My suspicions are confirmed when I hear all four my friends saying that exact line.

"Rotten to the core,  core,  Rotten to the core" They sing in unison,  I want to join how but they've already started,  so why would I?

     I follow Mal around going unnoticed until they've all finished doing the routine with a few random people joining for the last number. They've all got talent that's for sure,  but who cares. No one here will ever have a chance at showing the world.

     I watch as they finish and the extras scatter. I find my out of the dark corner in which I was hiding and waiting. I walk up to them and they all greet me happily. I stand with Evie and watch as Males spots a kid with candy.

     Mal, being the amazing model of evil she is,  took the candy from the child and licked it. After she had done that she looked towards the group and I and held up the candy into the air. We all laugh because we enjoy how we are making our way to evil ruling over the isle atleast.

     That's when we spot Mal's, Maleficent, walk up being her. I never pay attention to anything the woman says unless it sounds important. I notice her taking the candy and putting it under her armpit,  then the candy goes back to the disgusting little being. I chuckle silently.

     They being talking for a few seconds when I notice the goons that were behind us. They held Evie,  Jay, and Carlos, but not Mal and I since we didn't try to escape. I had notice them try to run but didn't pay attention to what had actually happened.

     "...Four of the five of you are going to Auradon." That is all I heard out of the purple witches mouth before I look around at my friends, well besides Mal since she is definitely one of the four. We all begin to look at each other wondering who the unlucky one was.

     "The only one of you not going is Shadow." I nod looking down. Whatever. I kind of figured I wouldn't get to go anyway. They all begin to utter their apologies to me before following Maleficent to wherever. They were leaving soon,  so I didn't follow,  I hate goodbye.

     I just use my lion agility to climb and jump my way onto a random roof.  I run over top of each place, jumping from roof to roof. I then spot my house.  I jump down from the not very tall building I ended up landing on my feet.

     I walk across the darkened and gray street with a stone print path to my front door. I take a deep breath in before walking into my house. I go through the living room and fund my way to the stairs while also realizing Dad isn't home. I go down the hall and to my room.

     This is crazy.  I honestly am not sure what to do at this point. As I lay on my bed thinking I hear a familiar voice outside...
