Jadeana left...but they still had a mini Aurenflare. They didn't talk. Just ate.
Fitz walked to his room, more like dragging to body. Sophie subconsciously read his emotion centre.
He was stressed, sad and...relieved. Sophie pulled herself away and out of his mind. Even though they were official cognates she still shouldn't do this, especially at this state of time.
"Hey, how about we catch and free stars tonight in the garden?" Biana asked, stirring Sophie back to life.
"Sure." Sophie said finishing the last bite of this pink fruit that tasted like bell peppers.
Biana went to grab the stellarscope while Sophie tried a purple fruit that tasted like corn. Biana can back clutching the stellarscope and setting it on a clear grassy hill.
Sophie ran to join her.
"Whoa...if I lived in Everglen I would look at the stars all night." Sophie gasped. The little twinkling stars shone bright like little gems in the dark sky. Sophie put her satchel down on the grass.
"I-I keep craving you-you don't know but it's true~" Sophie sang quietly.
"What?" Biana turned her head around.
"Oh...um, nothing." Sophie mumbled, looking through the stellarscope.
"Sophie tell me! Please?" Biana begged. Sophie turned around. She shouldn't tell Biana, it would make the feeling come back again.
"Uhhh..." Sophie started. "It's a human song." "Oh. It sounds really good actually. Your voice is amazing" Biana said. "Thanks." Sophie was eager to change the topic.
"You know what I love about stars?" Sophie asked.
"Shiny?" Biana's eyes were all sparkles now.
"That may be the reason you love it, but I love it because of how free they are. They have freedom and...nothing really gets in their way. They own the night sky, and they share peacefully. They shine like if it's their confidence. If you take it away in the day, they are still so happy. They are loved, as well." Sophie said taking a sharp breath.
She turned around, seeing Biana smiling. Sophie smiled back. Holding back tears. It was truly a sad smile.
"C'mon let's catch some stars." Biana said.
"No. Let's let them be tonight, where they belong." Sophie let the air fill her lungs, which were begging for her to breathe.
"Are you staying tonight?" Biana asked Sophie, they were walking back to Biana's room.
"Yeah. What do you wanna do?" Sophie asked.
"Truth or Dare?" Biana smirked.
"Noooo!!!!" Sophie shouted.
Biana laughed and laughed until she fell in the floor.
"Let's play truth or dare!" Biana chanted.
Sophie knew she wasn't going to win the argument so she gave up. "I'm going to ask Fitz if he wants to play." Biana walked away.Fitz's POV
Biana and Sophie were catching stars. Well, Jadeana just broke up with me. I can't believe she is so overprotective. I mean, I sort of didn't expect much. I just met her at work. She started saying stuff and she locked her eyes in mine and kissed me. She flirted and sorta ended up like this.
I was deep in my thoughts until I heard them talk.
"You know what I love about stars?" Sophie asked.
"Shiny?" Biana guessed.
"That may be the reason you love it, but I love it because of how free they are. They have freedom and...nothing really gets in their way. They own the night sky, and they share peacefully. They shine like if it's their confidence. If you take it away in the day, they are still so happy. They are loved, as well."
"C'mon let's catch some stars." Biana said.
"No. Let's let them be tonight, where they belong." Sophie sighed.
That made me smile. Maybe it was time to tell her. I need to tell her. I know she would reject me, I know she thinks of me as a friend but...I need to tell her.
I made the way to the garden.
No one was there. I made my way up the grassy hill, where moonlight shone the brightest.
I found a satchel. I think it's Sophie's, so I leaned down to pick it up. Something started playing, it was in English but I understood.
'I wanna tell you how beautiful you are,
From where I'm standing,
You got me thinking,
What we could be because,
I keep craving, craving,
You don't know it but it's true
Can't get my mouth to say
What they wanna say to you.'
Then it stopped. Right there.
I was squatting down, just thinking this was me. I stood up. I needed to remember the lyrics. I kept repeating it in my mind.Biana was about to leave the room as Sophie said, "Wait!"
Biana turned her head towards me.
"I forgot my satchel in the garden, I'll go get it while you get Fitz." Sophie ran up to Biana and gave her a smile and walked to the garden.Author's Note:
