"The unexplainables?" Emma questioned softly. She still didn't understand. Regina couldn't blame her. "Yes." she stated simply not wanting to bother too much into the specifics. "I don't understand. Are you... an alien?" Emma asked softly now completely confused. It was the only thing she could think of. She still couldn't grasp the fact that magic was a real thing and she herself possessed it. She heard unexplainable and immediately thought alien. "No Emma, I am not an alien." Regina clarified. "Each of us was affected in a different way. Some people had the ability to heal, some were able to breathe under water, some were smarter-." She was cut off "So what did you get?" David asked confused. Regina bit her lip.

She hadn't always been a magical being. There was a time when she could've been perceived as normal, but even normal for her was a stretch. "Sight." she said softly looking at her feet. It was Robin's turn to crease his brow. "Sight?" he asked softly holding her hand and giving it a soft squeeze for support. "Yes, sight." "What does that mean?" David asked looking up at her. "Did you get super sight? Do you have eyes in the back of your head or something?" Regina glared and rolled her eyes. "No. I don't have eyes in the back of my head you moron." she huffed and he backed off. "So what is that?" Emma asked. "I can see things." she said softly "Everyone with the exception of mediums see in black and white. I see the shades of gray." "So you're psychic?" Emma asked cocking her head. "No. There's not a word for what I am. I see the dead, and the dark, and the shadows."

"The shadows?"

-----Henry--------

Henry entered Regina's vault quietly. He knew he wasn't suppose to be here but he had to make his mother happy and that meant he would put on a ball. All by himself. It couldn't be that hard right? First he needed a theme knew that she kept her planner he enchanted forest down here and that is exactly why he was here.

He didn't expect to find the secret door.

Slowly he opened it and coughed lightly at the dust that fell around him. It was a very old door. He grabbed his phone and turned on the flashlight and attempted to look around. A set of stairs came into view and he went down them slowly.

His footsteps echoed as he cascaded down them. Using his flashlight he looked around at the walls. They were made up of rock. Henry could only guess what he was getting himself into at that moment. Slowly he made his way through the darkness.

-----Snow--------

Snow paced quietly. She had had Rumple place a preservation spell on her father and was keeping him in her basement. She didn't know how long that would last, but hoped it would hold up for a while. Eventually she came to the conclusion that she would have to use a spell to make leopold look like someone they loved.

Henry.

After calling Rumple over to disguise him she quickly set up the murder scene.

-----Regina-------

"What are the Shadow's exactly?" Robin asked as he rubbed Regina's back gently. "They're dark spirits. They want to cause harm. For a long time I listened to them. I killed people to give them the souls they needed. When I stopped they found someone new. They found Zelena." she mumbled "Wait... so Zelena is a henchman for the evil demons?" David asked. "Dark Souls." Regina corrected. "And yes. She is. She tricks spirits into going into the darkness instead of the light." "The light?" "Crossing over. It's whatever you believe in after the afterlife." Regina shrugged. "Wait so you see ghosts... and you never thought to tell anyone?" David asked "Well it's not something you bring up at dinner dear. 'Henry can you pass the salt? Oh by the way I see dead people.' It's not exactly something that comes up in conversation." Regina rolled her eyes.

"Okay, so is this a bad thing, like do we have to worry about this?" Emma asked. "No, not necessarily. I mean at some point it could be an issue but as of right now it's not." Regina said softly.

"How do you know about this?" Robin asked. "Is there someone like you other than Zelena?" "My mother. She taught me about most of it, and at times I ask her questions." Regina said softly "What do you mean you ask her questions, Regina I thought your mother crossed over?" Emma said confused "Well... That's the thing." she said softly

"What do you mean?" David asked sending a glare Regina's way. She returned it as well as rolled her eyes.

"There's a town."

"A town?"

"Yes... Under this town."

"A town under this town?"

"Yes a town under storybrook where a lot of lost spirits are."

"What do you mean?"

The brunette bit her lip. "I didn't want to look insane so when I made the curse, I put a town under storybrook and that is where the souls reside and no one knows about it."

"How do you get into this town?"

"The only way to access it is through my vault."

------Blue------

Every Tuesday Blue came over to water Snow's flowers. Today was no exception. Walking in she saw that Snow wasn't home. This didn't bother her since she rarely was home on Tuesdays. Walking into the cellar to grab her watering can she couldn't help but notice the dead body in the middle of the floor and promptly screamed.

Dropping the watering can she raced back up the stairs and called Emma.

------hours later------

"Snow what were you thinking?" Emma asked pacing. They were in the middle of Regina's foyer. It was late. The woman shrugged. "I needed answers."

"And how did you think you were going to get them? Certainly a dead body wasn't going to provide any conversation."

"I don't know. I just needed answers okay? I wanted to know why he did what he did."

"Because he was psycho." Emma glared. She couldn't fathom why anyone did what they did but that was a whole new level of fucked up.

"Don't say that. He was my father and I love him."

"Just because he was your father doesn't mean he wasn't psycho."

"He was your grandfather." Snow pointed out and Emma rolled her eyes. "I am not related to him I don't know what you are talking about."

"Can you both stop fighting, to be quite frank it's annoying." Robin rolled his eyes. Regina had went upstairs for bed and he was feeling quite tired himself.

------------

Roland saw a dark figure sitting on the ground and cocked his head. "hello?" he said softly. The person shaped figure looked at him with flaming red eyes and his heart started to beat wildly but he stayed. "Who are you? Why are you in my attic?" the child asked softly and the figure pointed to the window. The brunette looked over and looked back at the shadow man. "You want me to look out there?" he asked and the figure opened it slowly as if by magic.

Roland had almost been taken by pan's shadow before so he was weary of this person shaped figure, but like his father he was a curious boy. Slowly he padded towards the window and looked out. A cool breeze feathered through his hair and he sighed softly. The attic was hot so the breeze was welcomed.

What he hadn't realized was the shadow was behind him about to push him when Regina grabbed him from behind using her own magic to shut the door. "You leave him the hell alone!" She yelled as the figure disappeared and she held Roland to her chest tightly.

Robin had heard her yell and raced upstairs to see what was going on.

And that's a wrap...for now. Anyone who can guess the show this plot is based off is now a close friend of mine ;)
