Our little secret

O n e

'Damn that ice bastard' I thought, coming freshly out of a fight with Gray Fullbuster. If I hadn't known him for so long and I didn't have to team up with him, I definitely wouldn't bother being with him all day, every day.

Funnily enough, I don't like him. He has a way of always pissing me off without even trying which just pisses me off more and-

I shut myself up because I can't be bothered to waste any more energy on him. He's not worth it.

So I start talking to Happy.

"Hey, Happy?" I ask, not entirely sure what I was going to do with this convocation.

"Yeah, Natsu?" He says back, mouth full with some fish he got from the guild. Ah!

"Who gave you that fish?" I ask, happy I thought of something to talk about.

"Lucy. Why?" He says plainly like it was the most obvious thing. After a short pause,e he adds, "She got you a steak but you were too busy fighting with Gray over something stupid to see it. I ate it for you though!" He finishes his fish hastily, probably worried I'll take it from him.

"Oh," I say. "I can't even remember that." I honestly couldn't, but I didn't really mind. I wasn't in the mood for food, which was rare.

After about two minutes, we got to our house, so I threw my bag on the floor near the entrance and walked over to my hammock. I sat down and started to ponder over today's events.

"Wow Natsu, something is wrong with you." Happy stated, concerned.

"What do you mean. I'm perfectly fine." I tell him, putting my hands on my face.

"B-but Natsu..." he stutters. "You, your thinking about something." Trying really hard not to laugh he looked at me.

Glaring back I say, "Shut up Happy. I'm just tired."

"HA HA! You didn't deny it!" Happy exclaims, jumping up with his wings popping out. He starts to fly in circles chanting "Natsu didn't deny it! Natsu didn't deny it!" Over and over again.

I can't be bothered so I walk out. I didn't get much sleep last night, that's probably why my head is so messed up. Fresh air should help.

I decide to go back to the guild.
The sky was becoming a warm orange as I heard a church bell strike 8. I sigh as I walk past Lucy's house, hearing her laugh. She's probably with Loke.

I stop after passing her house and decide to just go in. She wouldn't mind, she never minds. So I walk back and climb up some ivy, through an open window on the second floor.

I'm in the bathroom. It's really humid, so I guess she's just had a bath and left the window open to let out the steam.

I decide to wash my face, seeing my tired reflection in a mirror reflection before leaving the room and going into hers.

Sure enough, she's there sitting on her bed, a towel wrapped around her hair, with Gray of all people sitting opposite her, on the floor. Fancy my luck.

I walk straight back out and begin to go to walk down the stairs, ignoring Lucy calling my name.

Gray comes out shouting at me so I try to walk faster but he just runs towards me.

Panicking, I also start to run, but Gray leaps and tackles me, too close to the stairs. We both tumble down them and end up at the bottom of the stairs-

-kissing in a kabedon-like position.

I don't care what your definition of a 'kiss' is but for me it's when your lips touch and Gray has his slammed onto mine, so I was out.

I punch him hard with my fist and he flies off me. I sit up and start vigorously wiping my mount with my hand. After a few seconds of abusing my lips, I turn to glare at him with all the frustration he's given me today.

I expect to see him wiping his mouth too, or glaring at me as well, but he's touching his lips with his finger, with a bright red face.

Flustered.

Gray Fullbuster is flustered after kissing me.

I don't know why but I feel my own face go red. 'Why is he flustered' is the only thing going through my head.

Lucy comes crashing down the stairs. "ARE YOU TWO OKAY??!" She shouts, with no mercy for my sensitive ears.

"Yeah..." Gray says, clearly in a trance. What the heck Gray.

"Yeah!" I say, my mind in a complete chaos. 'What the hell' was more what I wanted to say.

"Well then get up. Come back to my room both of you. Natsu, I have some tea you can have." Lucy clearly didn't see everything, but I was too busy trying to not scream to do anything. So I just nodded and followed her.

Behind me, Gray said nothing, even as we got into Lucy's room. I stood at Lucy's door, not sure whether to sit on her bed and have to look at Gray, or sit on the floor and have to sit next to him.

I chose the floor.

'My minds clear now.' I tell myself over and over trying to ignore Gray's look trained on me.

"Uhh..." Lucy starts. "The tea's next to you Natsu, if you want to help yourself..." she trailed off.

I shuffled over to the little coffee table and helped myself.

"Why are you two being so quiet all of a sudden," Lucy said, clearly feeling the awkward tension.

"Nothing," Gray spoke up. "Natsu was the one who walked in earlier.." The mention of my actual name and not a nickname like 'Flamebrain' or something similar was making me the flustered one this time.

"Yeah... Why did you come Natsu?" She said.

"Uhh... I thought Loke was here. I wanted to talk to him." I lied. I wasn't 100% sure why I was here. A whim? I just wanted something to do? Now Gray is here and I've got that and-

"He was here actually, he left before Gray came. Said he left something at the guild and wanted to walk. I'll go and get him I guess, since he probably won't like to be called" she said, patting her keys.

"Thanks" I smile as I sip her tea. It was really nice, but I've never had it before. Kinda cold though...

"What was that." Gray demand. I hadn't noticed Lucy had left already and me and Gray were in the room together. Alone. Dammit, my heads going funny again.

"W-what?" I stammer, trying to avoid the elephant in the room.

"... this"

He starts to crawls over to me.

"Shoot shoot shoooooot"
