Chapter 3

Third Person P.O.V.

"Hey, Dia?" Kanan calls, relaxing in her position on Dia's bed.

"What is it, Kanan-San?" Dia walks into the room and sets the two cups of tea on the small table in the middle of her room.

"I'm kinda curious. Is Ruby going to the dance with anyone?" Kanan watches as Dia visibly tenses at her question.

"S-She is," Dia sits next to Kanan and leans against the diver.

Kanan chuckles and wraps an arm around the older Kurosawa, "And you're allowing that?"

Dia sighs, "I am. Rie makes her happy, so I suppose I can allow it for the night."

"Ah, I see. It makes me wonder if Rie is crushing on Ruby," Kanan places a finger on her chin in thought.

Dia practically rumbles in anger at the thought.

"BU BUU DESU WA!"

"Woah, Dia, calm down baby," Kanan places her free hand on Dia's cheek and makes her look at her, "It's fine. It was only a thought." The diver places her forehead against Dia's.

The student council president closes her eyes in satisfaction and leans into Kanan a bit more. The blue-haired third year smiles and wraps her arms around her precious girlfriend.

Kanan chuckles, "I love you, Dia."

Dia blushes a bright red and looks away from her girlfriend, "I-I love you too, Kanan-San."

"Oneechan," Ruby pokes her head into the room, soon followed by Rie.

Rie Aerro, a third year attending Uranohoshi. Twins with Alten Aerro. With one American parent and a height of 5'9", she towers over literally everyone in the school except Alten. One of the most popular girls in the entire school, unlike Alten.

Rie had started showing an interest in the small red-head recently. She had started to talk to the smaller girl a couple months earlier and had asked the shy girl to the dance just last week.

Dia glared at the tall girl before turning to her sister with a smile, "What is it, Ruby?"

Ruby shyly rubs her hands together, "R-Rie-Chan wants h-help picking out a tux. S-So we were wondering if w-we could go and p-pick one out. "

Kanan giggles as Dia lets out a sigh, "You may, just make sure to be home by dinner."

Ruby smiles and nods, "I will! Thanks oneechan!"

Ruby walks off as Rie looks over at Dia, "Thank you Kurosawa-San." She politely bows and walks off to join Ruby.

Kanan laughs at Dia's somewhat irritated expression and kisses her cheek, "She has so much respect for you, yet she irritates you so much just because of her interactions with Ruby."

Dia groans, "I know. It shouldn't bother me as much since Ruby is happy. However, I can't help but feel a bit protective of her."

"It's more than just a bit," Kanan mentions, chuckling at her girlfriend's protective side.

"Jeez, Kanan-San, please don't tease me."

The diver leans in to place her nose against Dia's, "It's fine. I love that about you too."

Dia closes her eyes in anticipation. Kanan smiles at this and leans in to kiss her right on the lips.

"This tie is really nice, what do you think Ruby?" Rie turns to face the smaller Kurosawa.

Ruby nods and pulls out another one, "I-I also think that this tie is nice as well."

Rie smiles and walks over to Ruby, "Oh yeah! This would match with your dress so much better! You're good at this Ruby!"

Ruby blushes a bit and nods. Rie places the tie she chose back where she found it and walks over to Ruby with the tux they had chosen together in hand. Rie payed for the stuff and they walked out together.

"Woo! Glad that's out of the way," Rie smiles and ruffles Ruby's hair, "Thanks for your help Ruby."

"O-of course. I had a nice time," Ruby slowly and timidly slips her hand into Rie's.

Rie is shocked by this, but soon squeezes her hand and intertwines their fingers, "You wanna go grab some ice cream?"

Ruby looks at her watch, "I-I don't think so, I'm supposed to be home for dinner. So I should be heading home soon."

"Ah, I see. Very well then, I'll escort you to your home."

And with that, the two head off to the Kurosawa household hand in hand.
