It was a new day. The sun was shining through the puffy white clouds, and the birds were chirping happily.

"Maybe it's a sign, Dean. Maybe the happy birds are signaling us to keep our minds open."

"Every year. Every year he makes us separate from our friends and start brand new. All of this is his fault."

Sam always tried to make me feel better on the first day of school. My dad always made us move around when we were younger, and almost every year, we were in a new school. Sam and I were always the misfits. The freaks. Dad told us that it was the last time we were going to move for a while, but I have a hard time believing him.

It's hard to go into a new school as a senior. Dad told me to suck it up, but he doesn't understand that he does this to us.

"Sammy! You ready?" I scream across the house.

Sam comes sprinting down the stairs in his favorite plaid shirt, with his black backpack slung over his shoulder.

"Ready."

We get into the Chevy Impala and race off to school listening to Sam's favorite band, Panic! At the Disco, because I promised him we would listen to his music on the first day.

When we got to the school, we were told to go to the admissions office right away. Sam and I walked through the front doors and everyone turned to look at the new kids.

"Hi! I'm Denice. I'm a senior and I'm a cheerleader for the football team. Have any questions?"

"Nope."

"Let me know if you need anything!"

She had a pretty smile, and her eyes twinkle when she talked. She reminded me of my old childhood friend.

We walked to the admissions office and was met by the vice principal.

"Hi! You must be the Winchester boys. I'm Mrs. Smith, the vice principal here. I'll get you started by some tour guides- or friends."

"Dean, meet Castiel Novak, and Sam, meet Gabriel Novak."

Castiel had a round face with sapphire blue eyes. The bluest eyes I had ever seen. He was... Shockingly good looking.

"Hey. I'm Castiel, and I'm a senior. I guess you probably know that though. So I'll show you around and get you comfortable with all your classes and schedule."

I was lost in his eyes. They were so stunning. They almost looked fake.

"Oh. Uh. Yeah. I'm Dean and I'm new as a senior which kinda sucks."

He led me out of the admissions office and into the long hallway. Denice waved and turned to her friends and giggled. I was already tired of people staring at me and I hadn't even started any classes yet.
