The forest was dark, an eerie feeling setting in with the rising moon. The trees enclosed the small path like a prison, casting haunting shadows through the night. The shining wisps floated, looking almost out of place, shining brightly in such a dreary atmosphere. They were whispering, warning of the dangers of this forest, though there were no travelers to hear their warnings. I know what you're thinking, "Who would be dumb enough to travel through this place?"
Well, let me explain myself. No one person should ever travel through this forest, especially at night. I wasn't thinking that night. There were too many things on my mind to think properly. I just knew I had to get away. Away from that house, that family, that life. If I had stayed any longer, I'd explode. I started to run, and just kept running until I reached the forest.
I stood there, hesitant. I knew the stories of that wood, of the things that lived in it, and the fact that no one had made it through to the other side. I took off into the forest, pushing past branches and shrubs. My foot hit an old tree trunk and I tumbled down a hill.
When I stood up, I was on a path, finally a break. I know you probably have that look on your face that says. "Yeah right. When has anyone considered a path in a creepy forest a break?" In reality, it probably wasn't, but if I hadn't found that path, I'd be lost in that forest forever. I'd never be able to share the message that I carry. That, reader, is where you come in. I need you to hear my message, but if you do, there is no turning back. You can't live a normal life after knowing this. They'll find you, ike they found me, then you can't stay in your normal life anymore. If you choose to know my message, keep reading. If not, run now and forget you ever saw this story.
Until Next Time ~
