KEN'S POV

I woke up the next morning feeling very numb and just tired overall. After Julia left I didn't know what to do or say, I was speechless. It was like as if my mouth was locked and the key was lost. Melissa was also very confused and the look on her face screamed guilty and I wanted to comfort her but because of the lock, I couldn't.

I sighed and rubbed my face with my hand and sat up on my bed. I must get ready for school, but how can I when Julia isn't by my side. I just sighed again and stood up and started getting ready for school.

MELANIE'S POV

"We need to somehow get her phone", is what Joy said in the break before that period.

As the bell rang to announce the class' end, my and Joy's plan was into motion. I looked at Samantha who was sitting in the front desk. She had her phone in her hand.

When mist of the students were out of the room, Joy entered the room, breathing heavily, I guess she ran to get here as fast as possible, I smiled.

She walked towards me and we hugged each other. She winked at me and I carried my bag on my back and we then went to beside the desk where Samantha sat and we began the talking.

"So, how was your lesson with Miss Havis?", I asked Joy.

"It was very strange, Miss Persch came into our room by accident and they both looked at each other weirdly and then Mrs. Persch just went to her desk and told her that she'll take her place at keeping watch of the hallway, I don't know why she just said that", Joy said.

We both lied, Miss Havis wasn't there that day and Mrs. Persch didn't enter her class. That conversation was prepared beforehand.

"Mrs. Persch will take Miss Havis' place at keeping watch of the hallway?", I asked, loud enough for Samantha to hear.

Joy looked briefly behind me at Samantha. We weren't that far away from her. She then quickly looked at me and nodded. I nodded and Joy continued, "Yes, she will, why do you want to talk to her?"

What we heard next is the sound of pens crashing together and somebody's shoes hitting the floor loudly. We both looked at where Samantha once stood and then we started laughing at how fast she went out.

We quickly quieted down and moved towards her desk. I discovered when we got to her desk the reason why we heard pens crashing, she put her phone in her pencil case.

I opened the case and took out the phone. Joy and I looked at each other for a brief moment before I pressed the home button and scared myself and Joy. Samantha's wallpaper was of Mrs. Persch. We weren't that surprised because she was into trouble for taking photos of her and we believed that she hadn't deleted them, our theory has just been proven!

I swiped the screen to unlock the phone but then the passcode screen popped up. "Oh no!", Joy sighed as she said that, "What should we do now?"

"Hm... if we are going to work on Samantha's phone, we gotta think like her!", I said, "What does Samantha love the most in life?", Joy asked. "I know!", I exclaimed and presssed on the box and typed 'Melissa_Persch' in it and creepily it opened.

Joy screamed quietly and we both high-fived quickly. The phone's home screen wallpaper was even weirder. The photo was a collage of some photos of Mrs. Persch. Joy quickly took her phone out and took a photo of the phone in my hand. My fingers then moved to the Gallery App.

The first picture we saw was of Miss Havis and it was taken near where we talked to her yesterday. I swiped to see the other pictures and there were of Miss Havis and Mrs. Persch. Joy took a photo from every picture we saw.

Suddenly, the phone got a notification, it was a SMS. I opened the notification bar and read the SMS out of curiosity. I gasped after that I read it. "What? What?!", Joy asked me trying to read the message.

I clicked on the notification and it took me to the SMS App and the whole conversation. The message that made me do it said, "Have you got any more information on Miss Havis?"

The message was sent by 'Brittney Cooper'. I scrolled up and we started reading the conversation from a few days ago.

"Miss Havis and Mrs. Persch have 'broken up'. They aren't friends anymore 🤣🤣"

"Really? Send some photo proofs!!"

"*Photo Sent*"

Joy took photos of the conversation as fast as she could because the bell was going to ring.

I continued scrolling as she took the photos and then the bell rang and I quickly made sure that Joy took the last photo and I closed all Apps that I used and quickly shut the phone and placed it on its place.

I grabbed my bag and we ran out of class. I felt the adrenaline as it rushed in my body and how it stopped after we stopped running and started panting. After a few moments, Joy and I looked at each other with the same worried and confused look on our faces.
