Sam rushed in to the kitchen on Monday morning,
" mom, come on we have to go, we are going to be late!!!" "Okay. Just make sure to feed the horses plenty and fill up the water buckets" she said to Andrew there 15 year old stable hand "I got it" "okay let's go said Lynda Foxwell to her daughter. As they approached the Auction house Sam's mom asked: "ready?" "Yeah let's go" said Sam, they walked into the big room there were horses and trailers everywhere. We walked down the giant hall, and then I saw him a beautiful gray gelding covered in mud and abused, standing on his hind legs, whinnying with fear and anger I suddenly knew that phe was the one. I told mom that I wanted him and only him so we went to talk to the man that was trying to get her under control. When the horse finally calmed down I got his attention and told him I wanted him, the man looked at me confused, then realized what I was saying and told that me he was only $450 because he was so wild and he'll be almost impossible to tame. But Sam knew that he was the one she wanted, that he was special so I payed the money and took the lead rope from the man and lead the horse to the trailer and mom let down the ramp so I could lead him in and tie him up. As I went out the side door mom lifted the ramp and we got in the little brown truck and drove off. When we reached the big sign with letters printed WHISPERING PINES, I always smile when I see that sign with horses running on each side of the letters. To me it just looked so perfect. We drove in the gate and got out of the truck I went to the back of the trailer then let down the ramp and untied the horse. As I backed him out mom asked "so what you gonna call him?" "I've been thinking the whole time and I think I finally found the perfect name" "well aren't you going to tell me?" "His name is wonders pride" "I think that's perfect" said my mini led him to the stall that I prepared for him and groomed him the best I could I gave him fresh food and water then went in the house for dinner . After dinner I went down to the barn to check on wonder one more time before heading to bed.Dear readers this is my first story so if you find anything wrong with the spelling or anything else please let me know.
