Secret Star

Chapter One

Stratford is a small town in Ontario, Canada. My mom and I just moved here a few months ago. It's different from my old town, but I like it.

I look around my room mom, and I just finished the renovations, I really am glad she let me design it myself. My twin size bed sits up against the far wall, the lilac bed spread matches the walls. Not far from it there is a balcony that overlooks my small back yard, I've really come to like that view. I decided I wanted wood flooring because its fun to slide and spin on it. I know i'm such a kid but this is my room and I want to be able to enjoy it. I slide over to my computer in the corner, mom just got it for me so I can finally keep up to date with everyone. I turn on the TV, while I wait for Kate to get here.

I've made one friend since we moved, Kate Trep. I've always been known as the shy girl who hardly talks to anyone. There's a lot more to it than that though.

She is a very outgoing person and she took me into the first day of school. I am so grateful we hit it off well. We were both into the same kind of music and movies.

Its Friday, Kate usually comes over and we discuss the weeks events. I'm actually quite excited because tonight we plan to sneak out and help me get to know the time better.

"Riley, kate is here!" my mom yells at to me. I couldn't help but hold in my excitement, I ran down the stairs.

Kate is this beautiful, tall, blonde hair, blue eyed girl that everyone adored. I couldn't help but feel really ugly next to her. I am just me, short, green eyed, brown hair, and a tad overweight. Still kate is only person to take any interest in me I'm grateful for that.

Once we get upstairs in my room Kate pulled out her iPod. "OMG, you have to listen to this kid!" she screams at me while smiling. I listen and his voice blows me away.

"Who is he?" I ask.

"His star name is Bizzle." she responds. "But no one knows what he looks like, he is keeping it a secret."

I begin to wonder why he would do that so I asked her, "Did he say why he is keeping it a secret?"

"No one knows, actually the general population doesn't know what he sounds like just talking." she responds.

I decide not to ask anymore questions because it's not likes she knows, plus I want to start getting ready for our outing tonight.
