Sophie basically slept and slept and slept. By the the morning of the third day she looked like she did any other day.
The shower drenched Sophie to Lala Land. She changed into a white tunic and grey leggings.
Finally. The wind blew her hair all over her face. Fresh air filled her lungs as she ran to Calla's tree.
"Hi Calla." Sophie said sitting down under the tree with flowers that were blue, pink and purple.
Sophie completely zoned out. Teal eyes that were her biggest weakness. What was she going to do?
"Aah!"
A dark haired boy was laughing his charming laugh that made Sophie turn red.
"Fitz!" Sophie creased her brows.
The beautiful teal eyes locked with hers again.
"You actually owe me two favours now." He said.
"How is that so?" Sophie raised one eyebrow.
"Remember 'Or we could skip the talking'? He sat down.
Sophie covered her face with hands to hide her blush. What even was he trying to do then? He might have almost kissed me but no way I'm telling him that I like him.
"Seriously, I could just make you tell me the secret you still haven't told me even though we are officially cognates." He smiled.
"No, no, no. Hell no!" Sophie shouted.
"I quote myself 'So that still freaks you out, huh? That might be proof that it needs to happen.'." He finished flashing an adorable smile.
He leaned in a lot closer. Their nose were almost touching.
He locked his eyes into hers.
This time there was no Keefe to interrupt them.
"Or just skip the talking." He said and put his hands on the tree like a barrier around her.
Sophie's cheeks warmed.
Their noses were touching now.
And he closed the final space between them.Author's Note:
