There I was sitting slouched on the couch staring blankly at my parents as they raged on and on about the embarrassment they had faced because of me and how disappointed they are. Yup I was back at home.
I left now what? I walked down the abandoned sidewalk lagging my heavy over night bag on my left shoulder; guess I shouldn't have packed so much. There was no one to be seen and barely any cars on the road. Only occasionally did a car pass by me. I stopped walking when I got to a bus stop and sat down on the bench besides it putting my bag down finally resting my shoulder.
I admit I'm scared being alone; I needed someone right now and I had no idea where or who to go to. Thought about my cousins that lived an hour away but they would only call and inform my parents. Maybe Nura would let me stay over for a few days. Nura was one of my really good friends but had moved and now she lives pretty far. I doubt getting there right now would even be possible and I couldn't just show up at her place in the middle of the night.
The only possible thing I could think of right now is go to a hotel but how? I didn't know any around here I could call a cab and ask to be taken to the nearest hotel.
Just my luck my phone was dead when I tried to turn it on. Great.
I guess I could go knock on a door and ask if they could kindly call me a cab. Wasn't such a smart idea to be knocking on some strangers door in the middle of the night but what other choice did I have. Couldn't just stay here all night.
Picking my bag up and hanging it on my shoulder I stood up and turned around to the row of houses. Right behind me was a cute little house with 2 tress in the front lawn which was perfectly cut down to size. I walked down the tiled pathway to the front steps. Noticed all the lights were off as I walked up the steps. Maybe I shouldn't; I don't even know how this person will react. What if they close the door on my face?
I decided that was a chance I'll have to take. I took a deep breath and pressed the doorbell; hearing it faintly ring inside. Stood there for a few minutes when I finally gave up. No ones coming. As I turned around to walk down the stairs I heard the door open!
"Hello"?
Turned around to a elderly woman staring at me with a questionable look on her face. Confused to why I'm here at this hour.
"Hello sorry to be bothering you this late but I was wondering if you could please call me a cab"? I said with a desperate look on my face.
"Sure of course dear would you like to wait inside"? She said ever so sweetly with a smile on her face.
Smiling back I said "thank you but I'll wait outside".
She told me to wait as she went back in to make the phone call. I was relieved and so thankful that she had agreed to call me a cab. She quickly came back out after had making the call and said.
"There you go dear a cab should be here soon".
"Thank you so much for everything" I said being greatful for all her help.
"Don't worry hun it wasn't a problem you stay safe now" she said forming a big smile on her face.
I smiled back nodded and said "goodnight".
Within 5 minutes there was a cab outside her house. I got in and asked to be taken to the nearest hotel.

"That'll be $23.50".
Took out my wallet and handed him the money.
"Thank you and keep the change" I said feeling exhausted. I was so tired.
Morning View seemed like a pretty decent hotel. I walked over to the front desk and there was no one there. So I rang the little golden bell that was on the desk and waited for someone to show up.
A man came rushing out from the back looking worn out; must have been a long day.
"Hi! Sorry to have kept you waiting were you looking to check in"? He asked looking way to overly excited.
"Hi yes I'd like a room for myself for umm two days" I replied.
"I'll see what I can do for you" he said smiling.
"Alright thank you" I said too tired to try to smile back.
"Ah yes we have a room available how would you like to pay"?
"Cash".
"Oh I'm sorry we don't accept cash" he replied.
I did have a credit card I guess I'll just have to use it. "Fine heres my credit card" I said taking it out of my wallet and handing it to him.
"Thank you" he said taking the card from me.
After he was finished he gave me my card and the key to my room. "Here you are hope you find everything to your liking your room number is 208 enjoy".
"Thanks" I replied.

10:08 am When I woke up I sat on the edge of the bed with my feet hanging. My parents must already know I've left by now. My stomach felt sick at the thought of their reaction it wasn't right for me to leave home. I had tried to tell them I wasn't ready and that I didn't want this marriage to happen but they couldn't care less. Well whats done was done.
I was going to call Nura and ask to stay over for a few days hopefully she wouldn't mind; thankfully I remembered to bring my cell phone charger and charged it last night so it was good to go. I'll call her later but right now I needed a few more hours of sleep. I've been up pretty much all night and just needed to relax and forget about all this.
*Banging on the door*
Huh! What?!
I woke up to a loud banging on my door so I quickly sat up in bed. Omg the clock read 8:34pm I slept all day! Haven't even prayed once today I would make up for it soon but who was banging on my door? I quickly wrapped my hijab (head scarf) around and went to answer the door. It was probably the room service here to clean up or something.
When I opened the door my eyes widened and my mouth dropped in shock! No way how!?
"Dad"?!
