Your parents are hosting a formal party to celebrate their achievements in their business. You are not looking forward to dressing up in a 'beautiful' dress, having too much make-up on, and wearing uncomfortable, 'fancy' shoes. You would rather wear a simple, but nice dress, light make-up, and, of course, comfortable shoes. You are also not looking forward to the party because you don't know anybody your age; all business people.

You came into the party looking like you wanted. Your mom bought you a dress that suits your style, not too dressy, not too plain. Then, you did your make-up; a little blush, a little eyeshadow, a little bit of eyeliner, and lipstick. Your shoes are heels, but not too high. Walking through the doors feeling a little confident, you greet your parents' friends and business workers. All they say to you are " You look beautiful!" Or " You are a young lady now!". After everyone is finished with their food, your parents tell a speech about their business and how they are thankful for their accomplishments. Other people who work in their business tell short speeches too. You just sit there and clap for them without even listening to what they're saying. Finally, the speeches are done and people are now talking and dancing, but you're still sitting there.

You just sit there with your phone playing games and listening to your own music. Then a slow song played and you know it is because people are slow dancing on the dance floor. At the same time, a person tapped your shoulder. You automatically turn around to see a handsome guy in a suit and is maybe the same age as you. When you turned off your music, he asked if you want to dance with him. You said,"Sure." He took your hand and led you to the dance floor. He took your other hand and you two started dancing like everybody else. You have this feeling that makes you blush, but you try to hide it by looking down at your feet. You don't know the man, but you want to, so you speak up.

" I'm ___."

"I'm Kim Jongin."

" Why did you ask me to dance?" You just had to ask that because it was so unexpected.

" I saw you just sitting there the whole time at this party, even if it's your parents, and felt bad, so I came up to you and asked to dance," smiling after saying this. It also made you smile and blush even more. You tried turning away, but his eyes just lock yours on his.

" Oh."

The song is now over and everyone goes back to talking. You and Kim Jongin go back to your table and he sits next to you. Then he speaks up this time.

" My parents talk about your parents' business how it feels like working there a lot. They even talk about you and how sweet and nice and pretty you are."

You don't even know what to say because you never knew people were talking about you. You only knew that your parents' business workers talk about the business to their friends.

" Oh, haha." You smile.

" You have a pretty smile." Again...you blush.

Then he keeps talking, but it's mainly about what his parents talk about you and they're usually good things. You listen and smile and blush.

He all of a sudden admits it and said, " I like you. You're everything my parents said even if I just met you."

You just look at him. Speechless. No one has ever liked you before or even admits it.

The party is almost over and people are leaving. Kim Jongin's phone buzzed and he said it was a text from his parents that they're leaving. You don't want it to end yet, but you can't change time.

Both of you exit and before he left he kissed you on the cheek and said, " I' ll see you next time beautiful." He smiled and waved good-bye to you. You smile and wave good-bye back.

You went straight back home thinking when that next time would be.
