"Felix?"

The creaking sound of the door resounded and a presence intruded in the deafening silence of the room. Tears cascading down his cheeks as he raised his head from the call of his name. His lips trembled, crying harder at the sight of the other. His breathing uneven, inhaling and exhaling rapidly as he buried his face on his small palms.

"H-Hyung. . ." He uttered breathless, barely coherent.

Chan can't help but let a pained expression slip through his usually smiley face. He couldn't bear to look at the sight of the younger. How he looked so miserable and wrecked. How oneself took away his smiles with just a glimpse of an eye. He doesn't want to see him falling apart and barely holding on, hoping he'll soon be able to empty all the sorrow in his heart. He knows Felix is trying. He's doing his very best to not crumble and give in to negativity and extreme sadness.

But that's what hurts most.

A heart clenching sight of his closest cousin, trying to keep it altogether even though he's been crying for days.

Felix heard the door closed, foot steps approaching towards him before the bed adjusted to another added weight on it. A hand settled on his back, forming circles as an attempt to soothe him from his crying.

"I brought water. You should drink up." Chan insisted, the glass of water on his free hand.

Felix only shook his head, refusing Chan's offer as he sharply gasps for air. A sigh coming from the older, putting away the water from his grasp before wrapping his arms around Felix's small figure and locked him in his embrace as if he's going to break once he lets go.

"There, there. It's okay, cry it all out 'til you can no longer do. Hyung will be here for you." Chan murmured softly, running his fingers through Felix's hair.

Felix clutched onto the older's shirt and poured his heart out, continuously and repetitively chanting, "I'm sorry, hyung. It's my fault."

"No, it's not your fault. Nobody is at fault. It was bound to happen, so please don't blame yourself." Chan shushed him, his words clung with concern.

He caught a glimpse of a piece of paper on the bed.

"You should stop re-reading this. You've been soaking it for awhile, it's all worn out now."

"It's already soaked with sadness my tears aren't capable of being enough for." Felix laughed fleetingly, a bitter aftertaste left his tongue.

Another sigh before uttering, "Okay but please take care of yourself and try to eat proper amount of meals a day. Are we good?"

Felix just nodded his head, finally calmed down a little.

He'll try.

He'll try to do his best no matter how hard. Not for himself, but for the one he loved and treasure most. Because he knows he won't be happy to see him this way.

I'll do it for you.
