The Hunted
I continued my hunt searching bushes, trees, holes in the ground but i found nothing i managed to find a rabbit but it got away from me i cursed myself for being so slow and went to search my traps. Out of all the traps only my trap set at the river caught anything i cut the net i made from the tree vines releasing a few fish onto the land along with some wood that got caught with them. I set up a little spit near the river and started cooking the fish i laid back looking up at the sky it hasn't been long i still have time i grabbed a fish and started eating as i ate i looked back to the wood that got caught in the net and noticed that it was burnt, i picked up a piece to examine more closely i looked up towards the river but don't see where it would've come from if there were any towns nearby i wouldve spotted it but this wood was definitely used for a building before i could think on it more i heard a low growl realizing that i let my guard down i cursed and jumped out of the way but not before the tigers claws caught on one of my shoulders leaving me with a cut. I stayed crouched holding my shoulder looking up at the massive tiger staring down at me with a deadly stare in his eyes i grabbed my dagger and jumped toward him slashing at his under belly he escaped with a scratch and lunged at me again i didn't have a choice i had to get out of here i dashed toward the forest but he cut me off i jumped back and headed to the other side of the river i turned back to see him devour the fish i had caught he was just hungry and his hunger and my weakness cost me i got wounded because i let my guard down how could i be so stupid. I followed the river but still haven't found anywhere there could be a town i don't know why i thought i would i laughed at myself for being so stupid i turned and started walking into the forest again after i thought i was deep inside i stopped and looked up at the sky again but it wasn't the sky i was looking at, when i looked up an enormous Dragon entered my view my eyes widened and i laughed again i guess my time was running out since the day started.
