Tough love

Chapter 1: First day

Kristen POV
I was in a good deep sleep until this constant loud ringing sound awakened me. I looked over and saw in was 6:00 in the morning and my alarm was going off. Great today is the first day of school. I was honestly excited I get to see my friends again. My bestfriend Keke and Leon. They were basically like the brother and sister I've never had. Other than that I didn't care too much for school. I got out of bed and went to my closet and picked an outfit. I decided to go with my Nike jogging suit and white Air Force ones. I laid it on the bed and got in the shower. After my shower I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I put my hair in a messy bun and went to put on my outfit. Once I put it on I sprayed my vanilla perfume and grabbed my backpack and my phone and headed downstairs. "Good morning Kristen. Breakfast is on the table I'll be getting the car warmed up come out when your finished." My mom chirped as she kissed me on the cheek and headed outside. I didn't really have an appetite so I just ate some scrambled eggs and toast with some orange juice. Once I was done I put my dish in the sink and headed outside and got in the passenger seat of the car. Mom then took off. "You ready for your first day to school?" She asked.i rolled my eyes "Ma I'm a senior now I'm just ready to get highschool over with." She chuckled at me. "Yea keep your head in them books and your mind on college you don't have time for some nappy headed boy." I laughed my mom was So overprotective over me I haven't dated anyone since freshman year due to moms "keep your head in them books" speech and decided to listen. The last thing I need is to get my heart broken over some no good nigga. Besides the guys in my school didn't catch my attention none in particular anyways. "Yea I gotchu on tht ma." My mom turned up the radio as Ric Flair Drip came on. I pulled out my phone and sent my snapchat streaks as I bopped to the beat of the song. Then I texted my best friends in our group chat and asked have they made it to school yet. They said yea and asked me where I was. I told them I was on my way then put my phone back in my pocket and sang to the song "RIC FLAIR DRIP GO WOO ON A BITCH!" I sang out loud which made my mom snap her head in my direction and I laughed at her reaction. My mom knows I curse but I don't do it around her much but when I do her reaction is always hilarious. "Y'all kids listen to anything these days songs like tht ain't doing nothing but fucking y'all heads up." I shrugged "The songs be catchy tho ma don't be hating cuz you can't keep up." "Yea whateva" she responded which made me chuckle and shake my head. I saw the school slowly coming into view out and I pulled out my phone to see it was 7:45. School starts at 8 so time won't be a problem. I gave my mom a hug and told her I loved her as I got of the car. "Have fun." She yelled out and pulled off. I then begin walking in the school but something caught my eye as I was walking. A group of boys were smoking and laughing. Don't get me wrong they were cute but one stood out to me. He had caramel skin hair cut short and chocolate brown eyes. No focus you not here for boys just walk past them like they not even there. A voice in my head told me and i decided to do what it said. As I walked past them they stopped laughing and I felt all their eyes on me. Don't look back! Don't look back! But I couldn't I just had to look back. My eyes met his chocolate brown ones and it was like the rest of his homies wasn't even there it was just him. He sent me a smirk and a wink. I quickly turned back around to hide the blush that was rising to my cheeks. I quickly walked into the school and met the hundreds of kids bunched in the hallway. I already knew the drill. Walk into the auditorium, get your schedule, and wait until the first bell to head to your first period class. I can tell most of these kids were freshman based of their lost and confused expressions. I giggled as I remembered that being me at some point. I made my way to the auditorium and was surprised to not see as many kids in here then in the hall. But I did see my besties Keke and Leon. On que they looked at me and without hesitation I ran up to them giving them a big group hug which they gladly returned. "Damn girl I missed you." Keke said as we released the hug. "Girl I missed u too you over there getting thick on me tho." I said checking out my bestfriend. She then smiled and did a turn "Bitchhh u already knowww." She was always extra. I laughed and looked at Leon and he rolled his eyes at us. "Y'all be loud as hell for no reason." "Boy bye u know u missed us." I said as we made our way to go get our schedules. I told them my name and they handed me my schedule. Once we were all done we huddled together to see what classes we had together. My schedule read
1st period: English
2nd period: PE
3rd period: History
4th period: Lunch
5th period:Chemistry
6th period: Geometry
7th period: Art
I smiled as I read over it. This was probably my favorite schedule I liked these classes and they seem to be in perfect order. After we looked through each other schedules me and keke had every class together. YASSSSS. And Leon and lunch and Art with us. Well some was better than none. But I'm glad I have my bestfriend for every class so I won't be lonely during any period. The bell run meaning it was time for first period. Me and keke said goodbye to Leon as we made our way to our first period. On our way I saw the group of boys again. This made my heart beat speed up. I grabbed keke by her arm "ummm I think we should take this way." I said pointing the opposite direction of the boys. "Why we'll be faster this way. Why are you so.." She stopped and followed my eyes and smirked. "Awww you scared of them lil group of niggas over there. They ain't go do nun sus just don't look at him. Stop being a lil bitch and let's go." She said as she grabbed my arm and dragged me right past the boys. Once we past them i still felt someone's eyes on me. I didn't even have to look back to know who it was  but I can't let him get to my head on the first day of school. I just need to be strictly on business like I have for the last 3 years of highschool.
