Jock!Dean/Hipster!Cas

Castiel Novak. The boy Dean was in love with since freshman year. He had black hair and these very captivating blue eyes. He wore these thick framed glasses, which only drew more attention to his face. Dean always thought he was such a dork and he didn't know why he felt so much attraction to him.

Dean on the other hand was a rugby player. He had pine brown hair, grass green eyes. He was always sporting his red team jacket with white lining. He knew Castiel would never date him, because people are so quick to judge.

Dean would always see Castiel in the halls, listening to music. He dressed very "hipster" like. But that only made dean like him more. Whenever Dean could, he would ask people about the strange kid. Like, what kind of music did he like? Where's he from? Does he have a girlfriend? But to no avail the answers were always amongst the lines of "I don't really know, he doesn't talk to a lot of people."

Dean remembered he did have a little brother, Gabriel. Gabe was the "hey, look at me!" type person, which drove Dean nuts. He couldn't stand people like that, but he did want to know as much as he could about Castiel.

One day, Dean saw Gabe sitting at their cafeteria table. He was having an eating competition with the rest of the rugby players, because Gabe bet $10 that he could eat more than all of them combined. Gabe knew he couldn't, but they provided the food, and the food they provided was worth more than what he was betting. So he tried anyways, just to make it seem like he wasn't conning them. When they were done, Gabe got up, and slammed $10 on the table. Dean got up too and inconspicuously followed him to the bathroom. He Then grabbed the collar of his shirt, and told him "Tell me everything you know about your brother Gabriel or so help me-" "okay, okay, just, let go of my shirt man. For a second there, I thought one of you twats figured out what I was doing." Gabe replied.

"I know what you're doing, I just don't really like those guys so I don't stop you."

"Why not? They are your team mates after all."

"Who cares?! Do you want me to rat you out or are you going to tell me about your brother."

"Geez, I'll tell you about him, I guess. If, you tell me why." He asked mischievously.

"I just- I just like him, okay?" Dean said quietly.

"Someone's got a crush on my brother, that's so weird. He's actually really weird-"

"Can you just- give me the basics? Interests? Hobbies? Music? Movies?"

"Yeah, he runs a blog. On a site called tumblr.com, I think he's like really popular on there. Is that a hobby as well as an interest? He also really likes this old band called Pink Floyd. He's always listening to their album Dark Side of the Moon. He also likes basically everything that no one has heard of. He's always complaining that he can't find a stupid band on iTunes."

"What about movies?"

"He likes this movie, I think it's called, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I think it's also a book, I'm not really sure. Can I go now? The bell is about to ring and I have to go to calculus.."

"Yeah, but hey, Gabe, if you tell him about our little 'meeting' I will kill you, do you got it?"

"Got it, Deano"

Dean really didn't want Gabe to tell Castiel about their encounter. But anyways, Dean really wanted to make Cas like him. That night, when he got home, he opened his laptop, and put on Dark Side of the Moon. He listened to it over and over. He also searched up the lyrics and their meanings so that when he talked to Cas, they could exchange what they think the lyrics meant.

As the night went on Dean couldn't sleep. He remembered Gabe saying something about a wallflower movie. He did a quick google search and read a few reviews. It sounded like such a good movie. It was only 10:15 pm, so he settled to watch it before he fell asleep. He watched it online, and it was kind of shitty quality, but he still watched it anyways.

The next day when Dean saw Cas in the hallway, he choose to stop him and ask him what he was listening to. He knew the answer was Dark Side of the Moon, so he prepared his small talk. Castiel did, in fact day Dark Side of the Moon. Dean acted a bit surprised, as if he was shocked someone else listened to Pink Floyd and asked him about the lyrics.

They swapped ideas about the album and Cas raised some interesting points. When they were done, Cas concluded that they should talk more often, and put his headphones back on.

Dean was so happy that he got to talk to Castiel and he was so tired. But he didn't regret listening to that album and watching the movie. Because, if he didn't, he wouldn't of had that amazing conversation. He could feel himself falling in love with that boy.

At the end of the period, Cas texted Gabe.

Cas: "Hey, best little brother in the entire world! You know I love you right???"

Gabe: "What do you want"

Cas: "So, you know that jock Dean Winchester? Can you tell me a bit about him? Pretty pleaaasssee?"

Gabe: "Why should I?"

Cas: "Because you're the best brother ever!"

Cas: "Pleasee?"

Gabe: "So? I need a deal here."

Cas: "I'll love your forever?"

Cas: "I'll also do your laundry for a week."

Gabe: "Two."

Cas: "Fuck you, fine."

Gabe: "He's really dumb and he really likes you. Okay bye, I have to go to wood shop."

Cas: "Gabe."

Cas: "are you being serious?"

Cas: "you better not be fucking lying to me, I will cut your head off, I swear."

Cas: "ANSWER ME!"

Castiel was so pissed off that his brother would lie to him like that them ignore him! Who does that?

They had talked a few times after that. But Cas always seemed to focus on the fact hat Dean liked him. While he kind of liked him back, he thought Dean and Gabe were just playing a joke on him. He could never focus on anything else.

About three weeks had past since the boys started talking. Dean wanted to ask Castiel out so much. So he did just that.

He invited Cas over, Deans Dad was barely ever home and his mom wasn't even alive. So Dean could throw parties whenever he wanted. But he didn't. He just sat at home with Gabe and sometimes his friends. But he just invited Cas over. When he arrived, he put on the song "Green is the Colour" and suggested they watched "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" as if it was the only movie he knew. Cas immediately said yes.

After the movie, Cas decided to go home. He was so intrigued by Dean. A jock who liked Pink Floyd and all the same things as him. He really liked him, but he was sure that Dean was playing a trick on him, just for some laughs. When he got home, Cas listened to "Green is the Colour" all night. It reminded him of Dean so much. Not because he put it on, but because green was the colour of his eyes.
