(A multi-chapter mini-series with Boone and my female courier OC, Mel)

I could finally spot it. That giant fucking dinosaur that had been taunting me from a distance. After I helped Deputy Beagle with his little sheriff problem, he told me to head to Novac, but he neglected to tell me that it was going to take 3 whole shitty days! But, through all the Legion corpses, appreciative NCR, and dead critters, I had finally made it. I looked like a pack of Bighorners had ran me over, but I didn't care. I was tired, too tired to care. I made my way over to the pre-war hotel's main office and pushed open the door. Once inside I was met with a check-in counter, a few couches, and two rusting vending machines; one Nuka-Cola, one Sunset Sarsaparilla. But the counter was not manned, nor was anyone even in the building. Empty. The place was EMPTY. 3 days of walking and cutting down hostiles and the fucking hotel desk is EMPTY! I lugged my foot forward and kicked the Sarsaparilla vending machine as hard as I could. My foot hurt like hell after but I didn't care. All of a sudden though, the machine made a sort of clanking sound and a bottle of the stuff rolled out onto the floor. Sealed with a free bottle cap. My favorite soda had just popped out of a two-hundred-year-old machine because I was pissed off enough to kick it. The soda helped a little, but I was still pretty pissed off. I walked forward and reached down to pick it up. Rolling it around in my hand, the brown bottle was definitely filled with the soda. I stashed it in my bag for later. Sighing I walked out of the empty building and out into the small town. I looked down to check my Pip-Boy for the time, 1:30. Would anyone still be up at this time? Sighing again, I walked out of the fenced in area and out onto the main street that the town was built around. Looking around, there wasn't much. A few pre-war houses, some tents for caravanners, and some small fenced in areas for Brahmin and Bighorners. I was tired and just wanted to sleep, not caring where. So I walked back into the fenced off area, guessing it was a little safer that out on the street, found a secluded area near the tail of the gigantic dinosaur, made myself comfortable by using my jacket as a blanket and my bag as a pillow, and fell asleep for the first time in days.
