Your unruly dark hair reaches out to
Wraps its tendrils tight around my heart and
Pulls me close to your beautiful chest
Where I feel at home, with our arms entangled.

How I wish to, like astronomers
Connect the constellations of your freckles.
I may never with my fingers,
So when we meet again I may do so with my eyes.

And your eyes, green and brown pools
Hazel globes to get lost in
How they squint when you smile,
How wide they get when you're surprised.

How can I remember this when you're gone,
Or the slope of your nose, the shape of your lips?
What if I forget you when we leave
What if we forget each other?
