"You made the wrong turn...again." Graham stated, annoyed.
"Okay man cut me some slack, I don't live around here." Lucas said, turning the car into an intersection.
The two waited at the light for an unreasonable amount of time. They watched as a car drove and sat at the other side of the intersection. The boys glanced at one another and nodded.
That's her. Lucas thought.
Lucas had a crush on the girl who used to work at his favorite diner. He'd been trying to track her down for a while now...he wanted to make her..well...his.
Suddenly the girls began to laugh inside the car, one shooting Lucas a sideways glance before throwing the car door open and stepping out. The girl ran across the intersection and paused to look at her phone. Lucas watched as her face faltered and seemed to go pale. The girl quickly smiled back at her friend before continuing to run to the boys.
Weird. Lucas thought.
The girl made it to the front of the car and Lucas immediately realized how beautiful she was. He had never seen her this close before. He took in the way her wavy brown hair fell on the side of her neck, down her shoulders, and back. He loved the way the freckles across her nose and cheeks were splattered in their own unique design. Her body was perfection and-
Lucas' thoughts were interrupted when the girl smiled and waved to his best friend and himself. Her eyes sparkled with mischief. The girl turned around, her back facing the boys. For a moment, Lucas was confused as to what the hell this girl was doing. His confusion ended abruptly when the girl began to slowly bend down to touch her toes. Lucas' face became hot as his cheeks flushed bright red. He glanced over at Graham whose eyes were fixated on the gorgeous girl in front of them. Graham began to slap Lucas on the arm with the back of his hand repeatedly: his way of saying dude look.
Lucas turned his head to the girl in front of him. Just as he did this, the girl yanked her pants down before quickly pulling them back up and ran away laughing. Lucas' eyes were wide in shock. He turned his head towards Graham who was still staring at the girl getting into her car. He was adjusting his pants uncomfortably. Lucas rolled his eyes,
"Really man? You're ha-"
Graham cut him off, "I'm following them." He said, monotone.
Graham turned the car out of the intersection after the two girls.
"Woah, Graham you can't just..." Lucas looked over at his friend, alarmed.
Graham's eyes were fixated on the road. He didn't budge: just kept driving.
"Graham you can't do that! We could literally get arrested!" Lucas raised his voice.
After a while of following, Graham and Lucas watched the girls pull into a driveway.
"Their house." Lucas whispered.
Graham backed the car behind an old Volkswagen, almost flawlessly. They were now completely concealed from neighbors behind a line of trees and bushes.
"Her house." Graham said, pointing at the brown haired girl.
"How do you-" Lucas stopped, Graham's finger on his lips, keeping Lucas from continuing.
The two watched as the blonde girl restarted the car and pulled out of the driveway. Graham frantically turned the car off as the girl drove past them.
After a few minutes of silence, Graham whispered,
"I'm gonna get closer."
Lucas' eyes grew wide in alarm, "Graham you can't do that!" He whisper-yelled.
Not listening to his friends advice, Graham pulled closer until he was almost directly in front of the girls house. Lucas watched as the beautiful brown haired girl walked inside. The house was pitch black, but the girl didn't turn on the light.
And for the second time that night, Lucas thought,
Weird.
The girl closed the front door, causing both Lucas and Graham to stretch their necks in order to see into the house through the window near the front. The girl reached out her arm and placed something down beside her onto a table. She placed her bag down and removed her shoes. She took a few steps and the boys sighed in unison: she was out of view.
"Can we go now?" Lucas asked, annoyed.
Graham gave him a sideways glance, "You can not honesty tell me that you don't want to stay." He said, crossing his arms.
Lucas opened his mouth to defend himself, but midway through realized Graham was right, so he closed his mouth.
"That's what I thought." Graham smirked.
"Okay be that as it may...this is still..like...not right!" Lucas said, throwing up his arms.
The boys got bored after a few minutes and ended up playing Rock Paper Scissors for ten minutes before something caught Lucas' eye. From the window, Lucas could see the girl frantically trying to open the door. It was hard to tell from this distance, but it looked as if she was crying. Lucas stiffened as he watched a man, obviously older than the girl, approach her slowly from behind. He was smiling as he dangled something in front of her. She seemed frozen.
"Graham something's up." Lucas whispered.
Suddenly the man grabbed the girls arm and whipped her around.
In one swift motion, Lucas grabbed for the car door handle, but Graham stopped him.
"Dude it's not our business." Graham said.
Lucas drew his mouth closed, making a straight line with his lips. His hand was still on the door handle and his other was balled in a fist.
"If he hurts her I'm making it my business." Lucas growled.
He looked back up at the window and watched as the man's hand went down on the girls face. The world seemed to spin in slow motion as Lucas threw the car door open and sprinted as fast as he could to the girl's front door.
"Luke!" Graham shouted from the car.
Lucas didn't stop. He tried to pull open the front door. The handle wouldn't budge. Without thinking, Lucas turned and slammed his body against the wooden door. It still didn't budge. The urgency of the situation rose as Lucas slammed against the door again. Nothing. Finally, Lucas took a few steps back and ran at full speed, throwing his full body weight against the door. He heard the sound of wood splintering as the door buckled and gave way. Lucas yanked the door open and gave the man no time to register what was happening before he threw himself onto him. The man was much bigger and stronger than Lucas and as the man flung his body to the right, he rolled on top of Lucas and pinned his arms to the ground. Lucas groaned with effort and managed to free one of his hands. He immediately punched the man in the jaw, causing him to release Lucas' other hand. Lucas jumped on the man and threw his fist into his nose, causing it to bleed. The man slammed his head on the floor, causing himself to black out. Lucas jumped off the man, fist still raised and snapped his head up to Graham who was running towards the door.
"Lucas!" He shouted.
Lucas paid little attention to his friend as his eyes fell on the unconscious girl to his left. He ran towards her and knelt beside her. He gently placed his hand on her face. She was still breathing.
"Graham call 911." Lucas said urgently.Yoooo. Okay ladies and gents I really wanna hear your predictions on this book so comment that and also comment what you think so far! Okay like, comment, be awesome. Love you! Adios!
