i. | NEW STUDENTS? NEW PEOPLE TO AVOID.

A YOUNG GIRL stared dazedly out the window; her icy eyes glowed, drawing you in.

She blinked and her long sooty lashes fluttered.

A soft sigh fell from her lips.

"Why can't this class just be over with..", she muttered to herself. Her voice was like bells; an eerily beautiful sound.

She traced shapes on the cover of her only companion, an old black book.

Her gaze found the teacher and she stared blankly, at him. It was obvious that the beauty was bored. She breathed softly, pushing the thick glasses up her nose bridge.

The only thing on her mind was her safe haven; the library.

Her mind raced with options and solutions of how to get out of the torture called Math.

The thoughts filled her mind, distracting her, that when the bell rang she was startled.

Her flustered appearance was the epitome of innocence.

She nervously glanced around and much to her delight, and dismay, she was ignored.

It was at times like this that the girl enjoyed being 'invisible'; ignored by everyone.

The spotlight was too much of a hassle.

She quickly gathered her things, leaving the gossipers amongst themselves.

As the girl stepped into the crowded hallway she couldn't help but compare it to a battlefield.

Every turn had a wolf in sheep's clothing.

She had seen everything and had been a victim of it herself.

She slowly walked towards her locker, to avoid bumping shoulders with strangers.

She gripped her books tightly before a rough push sent her tumbling, onto her knees.

Her books were askew and her glasses had fallen.

She quickly picked it, hoping that it wasn't broken and, thankfully, it was fine.

She hurriedly gathered the books closer to her and reached for the other but quickly withdrew her hand, that was almost stabbed by a heel.

Her icy eyes widened and morphed into a glare before it faltered, when she noticed who the culprit was.

"Arianna...",the blonde muttered and if one were to look close enough they could see the hidden pain in her eyes.

The girl slowly stood up and faced the heeled culprit.

"Well if it isn't Aria the bookworm.", Arianna sneered, mocking the blonde beauty, who looked down at her feet.

The rest of her 'friends' laughed at her statement, highfiving her, and others.

Aria sucked her plump lip into her mouth before raising her head.

"What do you want, Arianna?", Aria asked, her voice shaky as she attempted to be strong.

"Don't call my name! Only my friends can do that and can't I just talk to my favorite person?", Arianna smiled sweetly, her dark eyes glinting dangerously, as she gestured to her pose.

"Bullshit...", Aria said in a blunt tone. She was never one to curse but Arianna always brought out the worst in her.

The brunette huffed, seeing that she wasn't getting her desired reaction, kicking the book towards the blonde.
