Tom POV
It was Tuesday now, the past few days was the most time I spent with all of them.
It's four in the afternoon and I planned on going to the Tortimer Island again, to catch some bugs. The Bug Off was this Saturday and I wanted to improve my skills.
And I didn't ask Lily out or anything, I was afraid of her response. But I had a small feeling of hope that we'll meet there again like last time. Hopefully.

   "Hey T-bro!"
   "Wassup Rudy!"
I made friends with most of the jocks in Serenity. Rudy was one of the new villagers who just moved in.
Many residents and flowers past me by as I headed to the beach. Even the beach had flowers and aesthetics here, bet Joe did that.

When I walked towards Kapp'n, I saw the person I wanted to go on my trip with.
"Hello Kapp'n," she greeted, "could I get a trip to the island please?"
The turtle laughed and she hopped aboard on the boat. Before Kapp'n started the motor, I ran up to them to get my chance.
"Wait up! Could I get a ride too?" I spoke quickly. "I want to go with Lily."
He eyed us suspiciously but shrugged. I got on the boat and sat next to Lily, who smiled at me.
"Oh yeah!" I snapped, "no music please."
"But yer girlfriend here loves my songs, so can't do anythin' bout' it."
Lily chuckled, "He sings great, his lyrics are thoughtful but quite random."
I sighed, K.K. Slider sings way better but since Lily likes it, I had to go with it. My eyes widened when I processed what Kapp'n said, girlfriend. I stole a glance from Lily, she looked just fine from the sudden use of the turtle's words. Am I the only one feeling this way?

Vroom, vroom vroooooom!!

Me wife says she don't like me goin' to sea ~
She says she misses me, but I ain't so sure! ~

When I comes home from me trips, she's eaten all o' me-chips ~
All me cakes and snack packs! Guess me junk food is really just fer her? ~

Kapp'n's music is strange, no doubt about it. I didn't listen to his comment between the verses because I spaced out..haha..

When we reached the island, we both thanked him.
"No probs, have fun!" Kapp'n winked at us, we laughed in response, but I cringed inside. Just what did he mean by that?
I shrugged it off and quickly got outside to talk to Lloid.
Lily stayed behind. Her dress swayed when she passed me by, her hair gave off a sweet scent.
As I got my equipment, I heard the announcement of a tour.
The sound ringed in my ears when I heard the word bug in it. I got inside the building quick after I heard it.
Lily was there sitting on one of the four seats to go on the tour. "Come, you can practice catching bugs in the tour."
Her stare gave me chills, so I sat on the seat across from her stiffly without a word.
I tried not to stare back at her or it would've been weird in a way. Why am I like this still?

~

She ran fast once Tortimer shouted go. I gripped my bug net tightly as I did the same.
I ran across the area, fetching every bug in sight. Here, over there, I kept repeating in my head whenever I spotted the creatures.
I tried my best to capture every single bug of that species.
When my pockets were full, I decided to check the quality of the bugs. Checking their quality would sure help me out in the Bug Off, I cheered myself on.
The timer rung out of the blue at the same time I saw Lily near one of the bridges, who had a transfixed gaze on me.

~

"We earned 20 gold medals, isn't that nice?" Lily brought up after speaking to Grams.
"Yeah," I unconsciously smiled while looking her way.
She smiled in response and beckoned me to go outside with her.
When we got out, she sat down on the shore near the water.
It was the same like last time, I thought to myself. I didn't sit next to her quickly, but got something off the ground and sat near her side as soon I had it.
The sun was beginning to set, so the sky showed all kinds of orange and pink hues.
Lily's head rested on her crossed arms. She had her knees to her chest in a calming position, staring at the horizon.
She didn't give me a look when I sat left from her. I assumed she was in deep thought.
"Hey," I faintly spoke. I motioned the little gift towards Lily.
She blinked twice as she saw the bright, colorful seashell in front of her. She thanked me and gave a soft stare at it before she placed it in her pockets. "Thank you."
I nodded and faced the view.
Everything's been so quiet since we got here really. We talked a couple times, but usually a long silence followed right after. It wasn't a suffocating one, but more of a serene one. Even though it was calm, I wish could've said something during those moments of silence, but I was kinda hesitant because our gazes met a lot and she smiled at me whenever I caught her staring. She's treating me kinda strange, I wondered.
"You're..," she turned her head to face me, "..interesting y'know."
I glanced to her side and she gave that same look when we were on the tour. The look where she was entranced in my eyes.
"Yeah?" I fixed my gaze on the water that splashed against my feet every now and then.
"Yeah.." she began looking at her feet too, which actually felt the splashes, since she's barefoot.
I was gonna ask, what makes you think so? Until I felt a hand push my bangs and held my face.
"Has anyone told you had long eyelashes?"
She didn't have a smile on, but a curious look.
"No," I mumbled. I couldn't say anything much, her touch was soothing.
"You do, and I adore them." She eye smiled while rubbing her hand my cheek.
Was she always this bold? Shouldn't it be me who's the bold one?
"Thanks," I muttered under my breath. I guess my eyelashes were long, pretty even.
She pulled our faces close that our noses almost touched.
"You're amazing." She said as she gave me the most captivating stare. "I want to get to know you more."
I didn't protest or question why she did all this, I followed along just because I felt the same.
But I got confused at what she meant in "getting to know you more." Are you really interested in me? Are you sharing the same feelings towards me too?
"You do?" I asked, sounding stupid, but I was really curious of her sudden behavior.
"A lot," she chuckled with a cute smile, "so much I could kiss you right now."
I knew she didn't mean to say it aloud because her face grew bright red.
She pushed away from our close space and hid her face with her hands.
Never have I ever seen her this flustered before. It's so endearing somehow.
I would feel embarrassed too. But it wasn't me who said it aloud, so I removed her hands from her face and pulled it closer to mine.
"It's fine," I calmed her nerves down. "I feel the same too."
My heartbeat became faster due to the atmosphere. Her eyes bored into mine. The sound of the waves added good background music and the sunset added great mood to the moment. I never knew I'd get this close with Lily.
   "May I?"
She nodded and I leaned closer. She didn't move in until a bit of our lips touched.
When our lips fully met, my whole body heated up. It was a feeling I couldn't describe, it was just perfect. Everything about her was.
Our kiss was a soft, long kiss. It was like my confession to her physically. If I had to confess to her for real, I probably can't find words to describe my feelings.
