After the Second Titan war Thalia had asked if she could leave the Hunters of Artemis without punishment so she could grow old with you and have a normal family. Artemis allowed it without second thought. Tones of new demigods had been spotted all over the world thanks to Percy's wish, so many that we were running out of Satyrs to look for them.
The days after the battle were filled of you and the others greeting new demigods and sometimes even introducing new female demigods into the Hunters group that would join your mother when she came to pick them up the next day. You slept with Thalia in the Zeus cabin after gaining approval from the big king god himself. You let the new huntresses sleep in the Artemis cabin but promised that if any of them wanted to they could come and sleep with you in the Zeus cabin. Thalia had her back to you as you wrapped your arms around her under the blankets of the bed you shared with her. Her hair, that she had decided to start growing out, was tucked under her head as to not get in your face. Her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm but you knew she was still awake. With tired eyes still closed you opened your mouth to talk.
"Thals what's wrong?" you ask and she jumps slightly in surprise
"N-nothing just thoughts in my head" she responded and this time you sat up with a sigh, the sheets falling into your lap as you leaned against the wall of the cabin. Thalia turned to face you but she stayed in a lying down position. You looked at her as you rubbed your eyes, waiting for them to become attuned to the darkness of the night. She sighed and placed her head in your lap once she realized that you weren't going to give up. You played with her hair waiting for her to speak.
"It's about this new prophecy it sounds worse than the last" she said. You thought back to what the new Oracle Rachel had said after the battle of Manhattan.
"Nine half bloods shall answer the call"
"In Day or Night the world must Fall"
"The battle of nature against nature is at hand"
"To be solved when warriors band"
"An oath to keep with a final breath"
"Foes bear arms to the Doors of Death"
"And the reforged forgotten blade shall reap immortal blood"
You would have been lying if you said that you hadn't been thinking about it as well.
"Hmm lets not think about it for the time being, who knows it might even be referring to a whole different generation of heroes!" you say as you stroke her hair and she relaxed at your touch.
"Hmm maybe... did I ever tell you about Jason?" she asked and you stopped for a second trying to remember
"Nope I don't think so"
"Jason was my little brother, same mum same dad... Hera... took him as punishment over Zeus" she explained and your eyes opened wide with shock and you look down at her to see Thalia crying a little.
"H-he was only three years old... I remember he even had this little scar on his lip from when he tried to eat a staple" she said crying fully now as she turned and collapsed against you as tears streamed from her eyes. All you could think to do was hold her in a tight embrace as you rocked back and fourth trying to comfort her. Eventually she must have tired herself out as she fell asleep against you about half an hour later.
The next day Thalia and you acted like nothing had ever happened the night before. You were as cheerful as always and Thalia was as scary as always as she chased the young demigods of around 4 to 5 years old around in a game of tag.
"Everything looks so peaceful wouldn't you agree... Mother" you said with a smirk as you hear someone sigh in defeat behind you. Turning around you see about 20 girls from around 12 to 19 years old clad in silver outfits that marked them as the Hunters of Artemis. The 12 year old girl in front of you flashed brightly and turned into a 30 year old woman this was Artemis herself your adoptive mother.
"Very good my child your skills have indeed improved," she said with a smile
"Well it helps when you have a guard bear" you say pointing to your grizzly bear, Jackie, who was now fully grown and lying under the shade of a nearby tree.
When she saw that you were pointing at her Jackie let out a loud growl, which disturbed some of the campers down the hill you were standing on. The campers then saw you and the Hunters and while the smarter boys stayed back and held the less knowledgeable ones back as well this didn't stop the girls from running over to them.
As the campers and hunters got acquainted with each other you walked with Artemis to the archery range where you had Chiron teach the new recruits for the Hunters. On the way Artemis would constantly smile at you, which gained your attention.
"What is it?" you asked as you walked past of campers who all saluted awkwardly at the two of you.
"Oh nothing......... So how's Thalia?" she asked making you sigh which made her giggle.
"Good mother everything is fine," you say trying to get her to drop the subject
"Uh huh, better than good I'd say if you're sleeping with her," she said with a smirk. You blushed when you heard this causing Artemis to burst out laughing surprising a good amount of campers.
Eventually after what felt like an eternity to you the pair of you made it to the archery range just in time to see Chiron tell the young ones to shoot and see them all get pretty good scores considering that the oldest was 14 years old.
"Hmm they do seem rather acceptable for the Hunters" said Artemis loud enough for everyone to hear. They all turned to se you standing by your mother and when Chiron noticed the two of you he bowed.
"Children we have been graced with good fortune this is Lady Artemis goddess of Hunting and the Moon" he said and the other children all tried bowing making the goddess chuckle a bit.
"You girls need not bow to me, but I understand that you all want to join my group?"
"Yes lady Artemis!" they all replied enthusiastically and Artemis nodded
"Then you will all follow me to my cabin" she said as she led the others out of the range.
You stood next to Chiron who crossed his arms as he watched Artemis led the young girls to her cabin as he clopped on the spot with his hooves.
"It's so good to see us band together again after such a loss" he said with heavy heart, you placed a hand on his shoulder which was semi hard as he was taller than you in his centaur form.
"We will continue to grow, we can only hope that the new great prophecy comes only when we are at our strongest," you say and he nods surprised slightly at your wisdom.
"I was surprised that you didn't ask the gods for a wish, any particular reason as to why?" he asked and you smiled knowingly
"That's for me to know and you to find out" you say with a smirk and he nods respectively.
"Well I must see how the others are doing and make sure things are ready for capture the flag," he said as he cantered off. You stared at the targets for a while before you got slugged on the shoulder. You turned to see your best friend in the hunters. Alice. She smiled at you cockily as she pointed at the targets.
"Let's see if you've still got your edge, ten arrows, ten seconds" she said teasingly and you smirked back at her before you used your powers of shadows you got from Nyx to summon your bow. She rolled her eyes as she pulled out her bow and notched an arrow as she aimed at the targets. You notched your own arrow and the pair of you counted down together.
Three............. Two...........One...GO!!!!!
You and Alice both sent arrow after arrow into the target your fingers moving at superhuman speeds. After A mere 10 seconds of shooting you both stopped to observe the targets. Alice had all bull's-eyes and she smirked at you cockily but you just pointed to your target that had but one arrow on the bull's-eye but nine arrows worth of splinters around it signifying that you had split every single arrow down the middle. She smiled at your target and nodded unsurprised but satisfied.
"It's good to see that being with these campers isn't reducing your brain cells," said Alice
"Well how could they after every single training session you drilled into me?" you say back as you make your bow disappear and she nods with satisfaction.
"Damn right!" she said making the two of you laugh.
That night when the torches were lit and everyone was in the pavilion eating dinner you sat at the Artemis table with the rest of the hunters while Chiron, Mr. D. and Artemis sat at the big table at the front of the room so that they could over look everyone as they ate. Near the end of dinner Chiron stood up in between Mr. D. and Artemis and spoke.
"Attention heroes and heroines tonight we have been blesses by Lady Artemis's presence and..." he started but some arrogant idiot from the Ares cabin interrupted him.
"Blessed more like cursed who wants that lazy girl around here anyway." He said. All noise stopped as everyone looked at him as he stood on his cabin's table. The hunters were boiling with rage and so were you. You stood up making everyone look at you in fear as you made your way towards the child of war. You grabbed him by the throat and he immediately threw his hands to the hand you grabbed him by and tried to pry it off his neck but your grip was like iron as you dragged him out of the pavilion. You dragged him to the Artemis cabin as he kicked and thrashed about. You threw him in the middle of the cabin and Artemis flashed in.
"You don't just insult an Olympian and get away with it" she hissed as she pulled out an arrow and shoved it down his throat making him choke on it as she ripped his balls off making him bleed out in a pool of his own blood.
When you got back Chiron was explaining to the campers why you don't piss off the most easy to piss of goddess especially when she's in the same room as you.
"... Or else that will happen" he finished as you walked back inside.
"Exactly!" you yell "Now who's ready for CTF!" and everyone cheers the death of the Ares camper already forgotten as they made their ways out of the pavilion to get ready.
You strapped on your leather armor bracers as you stared out into the woods. Normally you wouldn't use armor but since this time you would be going against your mother and sisters you thought a little protection would go a long way. You tried to tie the last back strap but it was just out of reach.
"Need some help?" came the voice of the pale skinned girl you had come to love.
"Yes please" you said and you felt her hands tie up the strap. After she was done she spun you around so that you were facing her. She smiled at you as she kissed you.
"Eww gross" came a male voice, the two of you stopped a looked towards the direction of the voice to see Perseus Jackson son of Poseidon standing there with his girlfriend Annabeth.
"Oh like you don't do it with her, smartass" you say pointing to the daughter of Athena
"Yeah well uhh um..." he trailed off as he scratched the back of his head nervously.
"Exactly" you said as you high fived Thalia while Annabeth face palmed
"I'm surrounded by children," she said
"Extremely over powered children who can control the forces of nature" said Thalia making all of you laugh.
The game soon started afterwards and you stood under the cover of a tree within the branches hidden from view. As soon as the conch horn sounded the campers rushed forward eager for battle while you stayed back your bow at the ready and your scythe in its ring form on your finger. The forest was filled with screams of pain as the hunters eliminated the campers who were not tactical enough to avoid them. After about half an hour later silenced filled your ears. Making as little movement as possible you pulled back the string on your bow knowing that the Hunters were near. Your eyes scanned your surroundings never resting on a single point for more than a second. You saw a twitch in a bush about a hundred yards to your left. You scanned around that area and saw some grass move back into its original position after a boot had pushed it down 75 yards to your left. You aimed your bow and let the string go sending the arrow speeding just to the right of the grass making the person hiding jump with pain even though the arrows were blunt they still hurt like hell.
"Oww damn it!" came the voice and the person that jumped out was Artemis. You dropped out of the trees landing silently on the ground. Artemis looked at you without surprise.
"I was wondering if you were going to show," she taunted
"I thought it was time for a mother and son dance," you say as you got in a fighting position, as did Artemis.
"Lets see if you've still got your edge"
"Funny I was just asked that earlier," you say and with that the two of you launched at each other with fists.
You ducked under her first strike and tried to hit a left to her shoulder to try and disable that arm but she blocked it but the strike had been a fake as you used the motion from your dodge to sweep her legs causing her to fall but she rolled out of the way of your next strike and stood back up and kicked down on your back. You swept your legs in a 360 tripping her again but this time you grabbed her foot, which took her by surprise. You spun her around before letting go making her crash into a tree, which fell over due to the amount of power Artemis crashed into it with.
"Come on! Clarisse packs a harder punch than you!" you taunt and Artemis rushes you with blinding speed catching you off guard and sending you crashing into the lake before she took out her bow and shot at you while she continued running. From under the lakes surface you saw the arrows whizz past you in slow motion. You saw Artemis standing at the edge of the shore with her bow drawn ready for you to surface. You gathered the energy within you and felt the familiar feeling on your back as shadowy angel wings shimmered into existence. You gave them an experimental flap under the water making the surface ripple causing Artemis to draw back her bow even more. You aimed straight up trying to use as much speed as possible to dodge the oncoming arrows that Artemis would fire at you. You shot out of the water at dazzling speeds and flew up into the air shocking most campers and even some of the hunters. You transformed your ring into its scythe form and spun it around deflecting all of the arrows your mother tried to shoot you with.
"Come now (Y/N) I'm pretty sure that's cheating!" she shouted up to you but you just gave a short burst of laughter
"Excuse me! I'm fighting one of the most powerful gods here and you want me to go easy!" you shout back "Yeah not happening"
"Well then let us get on with it"
"My pleasure" you finish as you dive straight at her whilst flapping your wings for extra speed. You spun your scythe at her but she blocked it with her dagger. The two of you went back and fourth like this with you striking and her blocking and visa versa for so long that even after Alice won the game you were still fighting. By this time the two of you had attracted a crowd of campers and hunters who watched on in awe at the two of you fighting.
"Screw this" you thought, you faked a swing with your scythe which Artemis went to block but then you spun around in the opposite direction cutting her with your razor sharp wings making her stumble backwards. You pressed your attack with both your knives and your scythe until eventually you held a knife to her abdomen and your scythe was at her throat. The two of you breathed heavily as the fight stopped. You heard gasps of surprise as you had beaten the goddess of the hunt. Immediately you shifted your scythe and sheathe your knife before you kneel before Artemis.
"Thank you for the fight mother" you say respectfully catching her by surprise. She placed a hand on your head after realizing that a crowd had gathered.
"It was a good fight my son be proud of yourself maybe next time I will try my hardest" she said making the crowd all let out "OH's" of recognition at what she said making them believe that she was holding back her power. As the crowd dispersed you stood up puffed and Artemis smiled at you.
"I meant what I said (Y/N) you have grown so much from the young baby I found in the woods," she said as she pulled you into a comforting hug. When she let go she looked at you with proud eyes before leaning down to whisper in your ear.
"It looks like you have other duties to attend to," she whispered. You turned around to see Thalia leaning on her spear about 25 meters away. You looked back for your mother but she had vanished into thin air.
You walked up to Thalia and cupped her face in your hands as she leant on the spear for support. You brought her in for a kiss which she accepted graciously when the two of you broke apart for air you held onto each other not wanting to let go of each others embrace. Thalia's head rested on your shoulder and she hummed a gentle tune as you swayed side to side. The loud roar of a huge grizzly bear interrupted you. You looked beyond Thalia to see Jackie bounding her way towards you bashing campers out of the way in her run. You let go of Thalia and stood a couple feet to the side with your arms outstretched waiting for Jackie. But she didn't come, instead she ran into Thalia's awaiting arms. Jackie picked her up and Thalia fell onto her back laughing as Jackie ran around.
"Look's like she has a new favorite," taunted Thalia as she rode the giant bear in circles around you.
"Haha very funny" you say sarcastically as you walk in the direction of the medical tent to get some ambrosia and nectar. Jackie and Thalia followed you and as they pulled up beside you Thalia looked over to you as she gripped Jackie's fur.
"Race you to the medic" she said as she raced off leaving you behind. You immediately raced after them on foot while Thalia laughed as Jackie easily out ran you.
Arriving at the medical tent Thalia slid of Jackie and sat on the edge of one of the beds and held out her hand asking for a knife. You gave her one and she cut a section of her pants of to reveal a nasty sword wound that looked pretty deep. You walked over to one of the draws and pulled out a couple of squares of ambrosia and a bottle of nectar. You gave her a square of ambrosia as you crumbled the rest in a small bowl and used some nectar to turn it into a paste, which you spread over the wound healing it almost instantly.
"Thanks babe, hey Percy, Annabeth the Stolls and a couple others are going to be playing Truth or dare tonight after the bonfire if you wanted to join in" she said as she watched you apply the paste. You looked up at her with a smile and shook your head.
"Can't sorry I'll be spending time with the family" you say talking about Artemis and the hunters.
"Oh, okay well then what did you want to do now?" she asked and you looked back down at her leg to see it fully healed.
"How about we go swimming"
"You just want to see me in a bikini" she smirked and you shrugged
"That and I have to teach the young ones how to swim while Percy teaches advanced swordsmanship, thought you might like to help."
"Eh sure why not"
And so you and Thalia went to the Zeus cabin to get changed for swimming. Thalia wore a sexy yet modest two-piece black bikini with flaming skulls on the tips of the bra and her bikini bottoms while you just wore silver swim trunks. You walked down to the beach with a bag of two towels and a bottle of sunscreen. A group of 5 year olds sat on the beach building sand castles, when they saw you they all stood up in their swimming gear.
"Alright who's ready to learn how to swim?" you say and they all yell in excitement.
You spent the rest of the day teaching them the basics of swimming. The four different stokes and how to dive a little bit down and how to swim back up while dodging debris. Afterwards you helped the younglings dry off and then a daughter of Persephone came up to you nervously.
"T-thank you for helping us Mr. (Y/N)" she said shyly and you smiled at her
"Don't worry if you ever need me I'll be there for you, all of you," you say and they cheer again.
After the bonfire you kissed Thalia goodnight before she went with Percy and Annabeth into the woods where they would play Truth or Dare.
"Don't worry (Y/N) I'll make sure they wont kill each other" said Annabeth making the others gasp in offence but the four of you laugh. When they disappeared around a corner you walked to the Artemis cabin to see all the hunters wearing casual clothes. The lieutenant of the Hunters Phoebe walked up to you and slugged you on the shoulder as a way of greeting you.
"Hey sis what's going on?" you ask with a small laugh, by this time all the others had seen you.
"BROTHER!!!" they shouted as they all jumped on you making a dog pile.
"Good to see you as well girls" you say through gasps of air.
"Girls I think it would be healthy for (Y/N) if you all got off him before he suffocated" came the voice of Artemis. The hunters all got off you and Phoebe helped you stand back up. You dusted yourself off and noticed all the hunters looking at you and you stood there awkwardly.
"Ummm hi?" you said but they way you said it made it sound like a question.
"So lil bro how's Thalia?" asked Alice and you sweat dropped
"Is that what you all really wanted to know?" you ask and all the hunters answer as one.
"YES!" they said loudly
"Well too bad" you say smirking making them all pout and whine but you held your ground.
"Come now children don't tease your brother, Thalia does that enough" said Artemis making her and her hunters laugh while it was your turn to pout.
Later after you had reconnected with everyone Artemis teleported everyone to a forest in Canada where she made a long table full of delicious food fit for the gods where you all ate joyously.
After the feast Artemis sent you all back to camp while she went to Olympus. You walked to the Zeus cabin as the hunters settled back into the Artemis cabin. You walked inside to see that Thalia hadn't arrived so you went out into the woods to search for her. You saw a glow from in between the trees; you walked towards it to see most of your friends sitting a circle. You saw Thalia and as you started to walk towards them Thalia turned her head and kissed the guy next to her on the lips making the others all cheer. Tears pricked in your eyes, as she didn't break away from him. Without making your presence known you ran away as tears fell down your face like twin waterfalls. You tripped on a tree root as you ran next to a cliff making you fall into the waters below. Right then you didn't care as you fell to the ocean floor. You closed your eyes as you embraced death, but when you reopened your eyes expecting to be in the underworld you were in a palace made out of coral and pearls. You looked around in awe of the designs and then a voice cut clear through the air.
"Ahh good you're awake" came the voice and turning you saw that it was Poseidon god of the seas and technically your adoptive grand uncle.
"Poseidon, where am I?" you ask and he looks at you with worry
"I found you drowning in the ocean so being the good person that I am I brought you here" he answered
"If it's not to much to ask may you please take me to Olympus and call a council meeting?" you ask and he raises both his eyebrows in surprise
"Um sure I don't see why not".
He teleported you to the throne room and slammed his trident into the marble floor as a bright blue beam of light shot out from the three pointed tips. Soon the other 11 gods flashed in and sat down. Once they were all seated Zeus turned to his brother questioningly.
"What is the meaning of this meeting brother?" he asked
"The young son of Thanatos asked me to" Poseidon said gesturing to you with his trident. The gods and goddess looked at you.
"My lords and ladies I wish to ask you of something" you say
"What is it?" asked Hera
"That I be moved to join my Roman brothers and sisters in arms!" you say completely shell shocking them as they shifted into their roman forms for a couple of seconds before everyone erupted into outrage before Zeus threw his master bolt down on the ground silencing them.
"How do you know of the Romans boy?" he hissed
"My father is a firm believer of the fact that death exists in every belief," you answer and some of the gods grumble at this.
"But why do you wish to go to Camp Jupiter when you have a nice life at Camp Half Blood?" asked Athena
"Personal reasons I would like to keep discreet" you answer darkly and the gods look at each other with worry but nod respecting your wishes.
"Very well we will send you to the Wolf House now" said Zeus
"One last thing, if it is okay with the two of you I wish to be claimed by Venus" you say shocking them again. Aphrodite shifted into Venus and smiled confused
"But why, surely Artemis or even Thanatos would be a better pick for respect" she questioned
"True but, I've seen the way others treat your children, I'm going to change that at Camp Jupiter. And show them that Love is not useless," you say with a smile and she beams at you and Artemis huffs
"Fine" said Artemis and Venus jumped for joy clapping her hands together squealing in delight.
"im afraid that you cant be recognised as my child so you will become my champion" said Venus and you smiled
"Thats more than enough" you say bowing to her.
You wadded through the little Tiber River the cold-water's current trying to push you down stream. You reached the other side cold and tired from walking all the way from Wolf House. You saw the gates of Camp Jupiter and walked over to them. One of the guards called out to you as he placed a hand on the hilt of his sword.
"Halt, who goes there?" he asked
"(Y/N) Ragnarok demigod!" you say and he nods at you
"Follow demigod into your new home. New Rome!" he said as he led you into the Roman city.
You saw the grand looking buildings and looked at them in pretend awe trying to act like this was all new to you.
"Yes the sights of New Rome are very impressive," he said then a female and male in purple clothes walked up to you.
"Legionary Ralph who is this?" asked the female
"This is..." he started but you cut him off
"My name is (Y/N) Ragnarok and I was sent by the goddess Lupa to join the Legion" you say and she looks at you with a curious gaze
"Claimed?" asked the male
"Uhhh" you started and then the three demigods looked above you to see the hologram of a pure white dove.
"Champion of Venus" you said but Ralph and most of the onlookers, who had come by to see the new recruit, didn't hear you but they laughed and point fingers at you.
"Ha another useless pretty boy, throw him in the fifth!" one shouted but then the girl turned to face them
"ENOUGH!" She yelled silencing them "We will test his strength in the arena"
"Come on newbie time to make sure you don't die," said the male as he led you away.
The male who you now know as Jason helped you with your armor while you still pretended to act clueless.
"So what's going to happen?" you ask knowing full well what was going to happen.
You'll have to fight the Centurions from all the Cohorts, you can either choose to fight all ten one after another or 5 all at once one from each cohort. The girl from before, Reyna will be referee as you'll have to fight me either way" Said Jason
"O-okay, see you then I guess" you say and he smiles at you
"That's the spirit," he said before he walked off. What he didn't see was you giant grin as he walked away.
Stepping into the arena you held only one dagger making the entire audience laugh or boo at you but you didn't care. Reyna hushed the crowd before se spoke.
"(Y/N) Ragnarok what would you rather your path of worthiness be?" she asked
"Five at once" you said shocking some as money exchanged hands
"Very well. Centurions take your position," she said and five warriors, three boys and two girls, entered the arena each having a different weapon. Jason smiled before throwing up a coin and once he caught it the coin turned into a spear.
Another bore a dagger.
The third had a sword.
The first girl had a whip and the last one had a bow.
"FIGHT!" yelled Reyna and the five dashed forward.
You threw away your dagger confusing them and shifted your ring into it's scythe form stunning most of them and most of the crowd but Jason kept charging you. Without fear he charged at you and tried to whack you with his spear but you deflected it and punched him in the face while you continued running meeting the first girl with a whip. She cracked t at you but you held up your forearm and yanked on it making her fly into the butt of your scythe's handle as you slammed it into her knocking her unconscious. Next were the two other boys. You leaped in the air before you swung your scythe that they tried to block but their weapons were ineffective against the giant weapon so they were sent spiraling into the wall where they passed out. You then felt something thud into you. You turned around to see the last girl with her bow drawn at you. She fired her arrow at you but you caught it out of the air and threw it at Jason who had tried to rush you but instead got a face full of arrow. You threw your scythe at the archer, which caught her of guard allowing the scythe to pin her against the arena wall giving you enough time to punch her unconscious.
Jason came back with his spear on lightning and he thrust it at you not caring that the Archer was in the way. You blocked the lightning with your scythe and looked to see if the girl was okay. When you saw that she was you yelled at Jason.
"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY!" you shout but he doesn't listen instead he continues to charge you. You run away to the far side of the arena away from the unconscious centurions.
"Stop running coward!" yelled Jason as he sent bolt after bolt at you but kept missing or you just dodged everything
When you were a safe distance away you turned at threw your scythe at him but he blocked it sending its blade into the earthy ground. Out of nowhere you grabbed Jason by his shirt and lifted him into the air with one hand and used the other to throw away his spear. You rained punch after punch after punch on him before he eventually went unconscious you then threw his body on the floor.
You looked up at the crowd and they were completely silent. Then they started cheering their heads off making you smile. Reyna came down and shook your hand.
"Congratulations (Y/N) Son of Venus you have been accepted into the legion with full honors" she said, "What cohort would you like to join?"
"What's the worst one?" you asked
"That would be the fifth" she said
That one then" you say making one fifth of the arena yell in applause.
That night you were at the fields of Mars overlooking the city.
"Enjoying the view?" came a female voice you turned to see Reyna who came up and stood beside you.
"Yes this is certainly beautiful," you answer
"Your performance was certainly spectacular today"
"Thank you Praetor"
"I must say you have caught my attention, and I also must say sorry for Jason's actions today as well"
