I live in in a little town a long ways away from the city and the only time I go into the city is when I go shopping with my mom or to visit my family that I don't live with. There's a couple other little towns around where I live and we have the occasional corner store here and there, but there really isn't a lot. My name is Olivia Greene and I'm the most popular girl in my class, well actually my school...but anyways that doesn't really matter. You see I love being popular, but I also wouldn't mind giving it up either because everyone looks at me like I'm perfect....believe me I'm not. Today, I'm going on a real journey....wish me luck. My mothers best friend lives about 15 minutes away and my job for the day is to help her paint her house! Yay!....so exciting."Olivia! Are you almost ready?"
"I'm coming mom!"
I make my way back into my bedroom to grab my overnight bags and then go back downstairs to my mom.
"Jeesh Olivia! Do you seriously need 4 bags? You're only staying three nights."
"I'm a 16 year old girl mom, seriously?"
"Whatever....go put them in the car. I'll be out in a minute. Go tell your little brother we're leaving."
"Ugh! Is he really coming too?"
"Ummm yeah! Sandy needs all the help she can get."
I make my way back upstairs to get my annoying little brother. He's only two years younger than me but he still acts like a little kid. I make my way towards his bedroom door and knock on it.
"Yo! Come in."
"Dawson, mom said it's time to go."
"I'll be down in a sec. I need to finish packing."
"Hurry up! I wanna see Sandy."
Dawson comes out of his room with his overnight bag and we go downstairs.
"Kids lets go get in the car I have to go to Grandma Susie's after I drop you off."
"Jesus Olivia, how many bags do you need?"
"Shut up before I clobber you over the head with them Dawson."
"No seriously, how many did you bring?!"
"Only 4. It's a lot less than when I go to my friends house!"
Dawson, my mom, and I make our way over to her car and get in.
"Mom, can I drive to Sandy's?"
"Sure Olivia!"
"Mom! Don't let her drive!"
"Why not Dawson?"
"She'll kill me! She drives worse than a blind person!"
"Not possible Dawson, shut up before I do kill you. It won't be because of my driving skills either.
I go to the drivers side of the car and get in.
"Olivia I have a question for you."
"What Dawson?"
"Can you drive me to the hospital?"
"What? No! Wait, why?"
"Maybe if you bring me now the bill will be less."
"What are you talking about?"
"Ummmmm, because if we wait until after we get to Sandy's, I might be dead! IT WILL BE TOO LATEEEEEE."
I adjust my seat and mirrors and buckle up and drive away, ignoring Dawson's immature comments. After about 15 minutes of driving, we arrive at Sandy's. I unload my bags from the car and make my way to Sandy's porch.
"Jeez Olivia don't get my bag or anything...."
"Get your own bag brat."
