After another excruciating drive, Hoseok finally put the car to a halt.
"The mansion is about another 500 meters away, so I propose we walk the rest instead of boldly driving in." He proposed as the turned the motor off.
My healing seemed to have done the deed, since Jin managed to pull himself out of the car, stretching his legs as he made it outside.
Jungkook stood cautious behind him while Hoseok locked the car.
"This way." He beckoned us to follow him towards an even more dense-looking forestry area. We silently followed him, cautious of our surroundings.
We still didn't really have a plan. All we knew, was that we were going to get our friends out. They were probably expecting us since Hoseok's mum must've regained consciousness by now to give them a warning.
It was most likely a trap anyway, but frankly we didn't care, and didn't have much of a choice either.
We needed to get our friends out, whatever the cost.
We had the upper hand with the fact we had the immunity capsules and I still had my powers. Hopefully, it hadn't been too late to save the boys.
What felt like hours, we walked towards the direction Hoseok had pointed out to us. The forest was eerily quiet, the only sound to be heard being our heavy breathing and soggy sound of our feet trudging through the moist soil.
Finally, we saw it.
"Shit." Hoseok breathed, and we didn't have to ask what he was referring to. Within 100 meters stood the mansion, covered by trees, and most importantly, dozens of intimidating looking men wearing in black attire.
Jungkook shook his head. "We can easily take them. There's no more than 50 men out there, I reckon."
"What if it's a trap? Or if there's more?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"Then we can handle it as well." Jungkook said. Jin nodded in response. "Even if it's a trap, falling into it is the only thing we can do right now to save our friends." He took a deep breath before looking us in the eye. "Jungkook, you lead and take the first men at the front out. Gabi will follow you behind, whilst Hoseok and I attack from the right and left sides, respectively. Let's get in positions, wait on my sign until we attack." Jin then placed his hands in front of his mouth to whistle a bird sound, demonstrating the sign.
We all nodded in agreement before shuffling through the bushes to take our allocated positions.
"Jungkook" I whispered whilst following his trail carefully. "I need to tell you-" but he quickly shut me up by placing his index finger against my lips. "Really not the right moment to have a conversation right now, Gabi." He displayed a playful smile on his lips. "For the sake of the element of surprise." He concluded before leading the way again.
We finally reached our starting point, and crouched further down, awaiting Jin's signal.
"I love you." I whispered quietly, not sure whether Jungkook had heard me. However, he turned around again to give me a soft smile and a small peck on the lips. "I love you too." He sighed. "And you're going to be great. You're the greatest bender and fighter I've ever met. Whatever happens today, I'm so proud of you."
Lost for words, I sent him a small smile before recomposing myself. No time to cry when you're about to attack a bunch of intimidating men.
Then, Jin's signal sounded.
That's when it really begun.
