THE GRAVE MISTAKE

       In a city filled with suffering and hopeless people, because of the calamity that came upon them. The city called BETHANY, was once a great city filled with love and care, until a curse came fifteen years after the city got a visit from the Historians.
        When the Historians came, they wanted to find out how the city blossomed. So, they started going through the historical records of the city without the consent of the citizens or their leaders. As they were doing their research, they found out that there was a secret tablet broken into sixteen pieces and scattered around different parts of the earth but only one was in Bethany.
        So, with that information, they used the technology they had to find out the date that the city was established. They found out that the city was established 500 years ago, they also found out that the tablet had something to do with a change in the city. The citizens saw the Historians making their research but never wondered what they were doing except a boy, named Connor. The Historians set themselves at different areas of the city to look for the first piece of the tablet.
        For 2 weeks, the Historians had been searching for the tablet but never found it. The next day, Connor who was fascinated by their work, got enough courage to meet them and asked them if they needed any help, they told him to tell them the history of his city. Connor explained the history of his city to them and he knew so much because his parents tell him about their culture and the history of their city. In as much as they told him, they never mentioned that the instrument used to cause their amageddon. So, the Historians were interested in the boy's knowledge, they told him to show them where the first piece of the tablet was, unfortunately, all he could offer was a riddle, which says;
" TO HE WHO WANTS, BEWARE WHAT YOU ARE TOLD, FOR WHAT YOU SEEK HANGS IN A NOBLE POSITION"
          The Historians mentality was that the riddle meant that if you were looking for the tablet, you must listen to everything that brings you closer to it but it is safe guarded by a noble person. But they were absolutely wrong, what the riddle actually meant was that, if you want the tablet, you should be careful and listen to all the warnings that come with it but it is kept in the city's monument.
         It took them 4 days to find noble men and women but none had an answer to their questions. They finally got to the last noble man's house, they entered and introduced themselves. The man introduced himself as Robert and asked them why they came to see him. The Chief Historian, Mr Kenneth told him that they were here to inquire information about the place where the tablet was kept. Mr Robert was surprised that they knew about the tablet, but he was unable to tell them because he did not know where it was kept or anything about it. When they were about to leave, Mr Robert asked if he could join them to look for the tablet because he was curious of what it was capable of. Mr Kenneth told him that they would allow him to join them when they find the first piece of the tablet. The Historians left the house frustrated at the idea that no one knew where the tablet was kept.
 

        At a point in time, they wanted to give up on searching for the tablet when out of nowhere, Connor came running to meet them and told them that he knows where the tablet is. The Historians were so happy to hear theat and Mr Kenneth decided to employ Connor as one of the Historians. They retrived the tablet and later threw a party in honour of Connor, they invited alot of people including Connor's parents and Mr Robert. During the party, Mr Kenneth officially announced that both Mr Robert and Connor are members of the Historians. Everyone was happy for them then they made a toast to congratulate them.
          The next 2 days, Connor was trying to find out more about the tablet. As he was going through it, he saw some inscriptions written on it;

    He later found out that the inscriptions meant that if the tablet is close to it's other pieces different forms of dangerous things and tasks will follow the holder. With this statement gotten from the tablet, the Historians knew that it was time to look for the other fifteen pieces. So, Kenneth decided to call his majors for supplies and help for the journey ahead of them. They received a sub-marine because the city had a large sea at their outskirts, they also got ships, rifles, pistons and so on in order for them to be prepared for any trial that comes their way.
        The journey began as soon as they tested the tablet at the shore of the sea. The tablet started glowing white which was a sign that a piece was in the sea. After finding the way, Kenneth gathered a group of people into the sub-marine to find the tablet. When the sub-marine dived, Connor decided to have a last look at the tablet. He noticed that there was another inscription which he could not read because it was incomplete and he did not know the language. But what could be seen clearly states;
               Ca 5 Ra Sa 2 Da
      Since the inscription could not be read, Connor thought that it was not important. But he was very wrong because the inscription meant "CURSED". With that inscription being unveiled, it meant that as long as the tablet is with them their entire journey will be cursed but they won't stop until they retrieve all the pieces of the tablet.
         By the 12th hour of the day, they dived into the water and went deep into the sea. As they were going they saw different fishes like flounders, a school of tilapia and other exotic breeds of fishes. They kept on going, their navigation system picked up something charging towards them with great speed so they decided to shoot a torpedo towards it. When they shot it, the animal (which was a shark) dodged it making the torpedo to go towards a big rock, thereby breaking it and scattering the pieces into a coral field down below. The little animals that live there were frightened and started rushing out. The animals that live there were very plenty and as they rushed out, the direction they were going was where the submarine was. Alot of the animals were hitting the submarine to the extent that the pressure was starting to build up, allowing water to flow through the small leaks created by their force. Kenneth told everyone ti grab a scuba gear and move towards the hatch. While they were going, the shark charged at the sub, hitting it and making it to spin off course and towards a big boulder.
         When they got to the hatch, they noticed that the manual opener was broken and the only way to open it was from the control unit and open the hatch. They went there as fast as they could to open the hatch, at the same time, the shark was preparing for another charge to bash them into the boulder. Robert and the rest got to the control unit and we're able to open the hatch but as they were on their way back, the shark bashed the sub with a great force that sent the sub straight into the boulder crushing it and killing the five people inside.
