Continue of Blake's POV~
Once Rodha was finally done with her lap, we started to play. I had the football to start with and when I through it to her, it was a perfect spiral. What do u expect I live with all boys, of course I'm gonna be good.
When Rodha caught it she said " Damn Red, you really are good at Football, you should join the football team." " I live with all boys Rodha, of course I'm good at it, and it's an all boys team why would they let a girl play?" "Hey you never know. Plus you are really good" "Thanks Rodha" I said smiling.
After a while of just everyone throwing the ball to each other, the gym teacher finally called everyone to join around.
"Ok so I decided to change things up a little bit. So I've been watching a certain someone as they were throwing the ball, and let me say I was pretty impressed" everyone was confused " So I wanted to test that person and anyone else if they want to give it a try. Blake, could you come over here for a second." He waved me over out of the group of people and I stood right next to the teacher.
" So I was watching Blake throw the ball and catch every single one. I wanted to see if she could try something." He said that last part while looking at me. I was confused and said "try what?"
"I want to see if you could try punting and making it in the goal post" "How far away from the post?" I asked "I'll show you" he said and started walking to where he wanted me to punt.
"I want you to start here and if you make it, move back 10 yards until you get to the half way of the field ok?" " yeah I think I can do it" I said. He grabbed the good football and set it up for me then he had someone go down to the post to get the ball when I kick it. "When ever you are ready" he said.
I backed up a little so I can get a running start, I looked at the ball then at the post. I took a deep breath and started to run towards the ball, I kicked it hard like you are supposed to do. Once I kicked it I stoped and watched like everyone else and obviously it went in, cuz I was like 15ft away from the post.
Everyone clapped and I turned around and some people high fived me. Once we got the ball back we backed it up so I can go back farther. I made it again, and again, and again until I got to the half of the field. Then I felt a lot of pressure on me.
" Come one Red you got this!" I herd Rodha say that, then I took a deep breath and finally kicked the ball. As I was watching the ball it literally felt like I was in slow motion. The ball made it past the post and I couldn't believe it. I actually just made a goal that far away. Everyone cheered and clapped and hugged me.
