I ROBOT

Chapter 1

Park Jimin was staring at the clock which read 12:30 AM.
He'd been up all night working on blueprints for his lastest work.

Jimin bit his lip softly. Snapping back into reality. He could not figure out what he was missing.
Jimin then set the pencil in his hand down on the counter,and leaned back against his chair. Taking a long look at his drawing.

"Something's missing..," He said softly.

"But What?.."

"Jimin?" A knock at his dorm came.

Jimin jumped a bit. Then turned back. To see his brother Taehyung.
Taehyung was holding a bag of Chinese food,and he smiled.

"Ah~ I knew you would be up right now," Taehyung said happily entering.

"Your mind never sleeps till you're done."

Taehyung set the food on the counter next to Jimin.

"Why are you up,and here this late?"

"I was lonely,and I was hungry. I also remembered when you work too hard you forget to eat as well. So here." Taehyung pushed the bag of chinese food towards Jimin.
Jimin stared at the bag,and then opened it questionably.

"Is it?" Jimin looked up at Taehyung.

"That double dipped salantry. Yes."

Jimin then started to smile.

"Thanks." He responded opening up the bag happily.

Taehyung looked around his room. Then notice his blueprints.

"What's this?"

Jimin took a big slurp from his food,and turned toward his blueprints.
"Oh it's a new project I'm working on for this years competition to get into a bigger school."

"Isn't this already a college?" Taehying questioned.

"Yes, But a more mechanic advanced school."

"Ah~ Got it." Taehyung responded assuringly.

There was a long silence. The only thing could be heard was Jimin digging into his food.

Finally Taehyung broke the silence by slapping his knee.
"Welp! I'm gonna head of home to sleep. I'll see you on Friday?"

"What's on Friday?" Jimin rose hid head confused.

"You know?"

"What?"

"Oh C'mon please tell me you didn't forget,"
Taehyung stood at the door staring down Jimin.

"It's our mothers birthday. We got to go visit her grave."

"Oh Yeah sorry I just been caught up in work so much I must've forgotten. I'll be there."
Jimin gave a smile as Taehyung walked out of his dorm.

Jimin looked back at his blueprints. Then notice what he was missing.

"AH!" He drew down blue prints to make skin feeling features,and to try using a donated heart to implant into his robot. So that it could feel,and speak clearly.
Jimin also drew a brain as well.

Jimin then smiled. Knowing he would soon begin building at 6 AM. He then put away his leftover food. Then headed off to bed.

In the morning Jimin opened his book of blueprints he'd been planning for months to make a reality.
He began on the the body,and hands,and chest.
It took him 3 days to finish,and code the moving abilities for those parts.

Soon he was finishing the the full image. He then stood back and took a long look.
He has made a boy with brown hair. A bit taller than him,but that was fine.

All he had to do was add the brain,and the heart. Code ways to make him feel.
But as soon as Jimin almost had his hand on the kayboard. He got a call.

"Hello?" Jimin answered the phone.

"Where are You? I'm already at the grave."

'Oh shit' Jimin thought.
"Uh- I'm on my way there already. I'm close by."

"Oh," Taehyung said relieved.

"Well I'll wait for you here."

After Jimin hung up he rushed out the door into his car. Stopped quickly by a flower shop to get his mothers favorite roses.
When he soon made it to the cementary. He saw his brother Taehyung waiting for him by the gate.

"C'mon." Taehyung said, rushing into the cemetery.

This day was especially important to him. Taehyung never knew their mother. She died at birth a few seconds later after giving birth to Taehyung.

As they reached their mother's grave. They both sat beside it,and set their flowers on her tomb.

"Happy Birthday Mom." Taehyung said happily. As he hugged the tombstone.

Jimin slightly smiled and softly said, "Happy Birthday Mom..I Miss You.."

There was a long silence for a while. Till Jimin heard sniffles,and looked at Taehyung's eyes watering.

"What's wrong?"

Taehyung wiped his eyes.

"It's all my fault that she's gone."

Jimin got up quickly from the ground,and hugged Taehyung tightly.

"No it's not. Even though you never met her. She loves you. I promise."

Taehyung then slowly stopped crying and hugged Jimin back.
Then whispered.

"Even though I never met Mom..I Miss Her.."

Jimin started to tear up to for his brother. Wishing he could've met her.

"Well I bet she misses you too."

Soon they got up and walked back to their cars to go back to work,or back home.

When Jimin arrived back to his dorm where he was working on his project. He put in the codes perfectly as he wrote.

"There!"

Jimin stood back,and took out the wire was connected to his robot.
It began to start.
Then automatically shut down.

Jimin's face of happiness turned to shock.
"What? What went wrong?"

Jimin looked at the program again,and tried all day to program it so it would function properly. But it was no use.

Jimin threw his his chip into the ground,and violently grabbed his robot. But soon started to cry.

"I'm ...Such a failure." Jimin said holding on to his robot still.

He then shoved it next to his other non-successful projects,and stormed out of his dorm.
Jimin ran all the way to the courtyard,and gave a loud scream to the sky. Then fell to his knees. After Jimin had calmed down. He sat there on the grass for hours till returning to his dorm.
He picked up his phone from the table,and saw he had 16 missing calls from his brother Taehyung.

Jimin called Taehyung back.

"Hello?" Taehyung answered.

"You called?"

"Oh right! Jimin there's gonna be a full solar eclipse happening over your school. Are you gonna watch it?"

Jimin didn't feel like watching some solar eclipse. But he laughed and responded.

"Yeah I am."

"Good, I just wanted to know."
Taehyung suddenly hung up,and Jimin held the phone to his ear for a couple seconds before setting it back down.
Jimin slammed himself on his bed,and slowly began to shut his eyes.

An hour later...The moon began to cover the sun. Animals started howling,and night creatures started crawling.

But not only that. Jimin's robot began to move...
