The morning gift decision & wand

The academy

Hiccup finishes pinning the last sheet of paper to the wall of the academy & goes to join Stormfly & his mother in the center of the ring, Fishlegs, Erit & Gobber are standing on either side of the designs ready to pick out whatever one ends up being chosen, while Snotlowt & the twins stand on either side of the entrance as far away from what is happening as possible. 

"Ok Stormfly what we want you to do is simple" Hiccup explains. "We just need you to do a spine shot at the sheets of paper on that wall" Stormfly gives a happy cluck before starting to spin on the spot she then takes a spine shot towards the wall of designs, hitting one of them in the middle. "Good job Stormfly" Hiccup says giving her a pat on the side of her head while Volka gives her some chicken as a reward.

 Hiccup heads over to the wall as Fishlegs, Erit & Gobber help take down the designs. "Well that went better than expected" Hiccup says taking the losing designs from the others & putting them back inside his armour. "I wouldn't speak too soon" Gobber says looking over at Snotlowt & the twins who had decided there was no more need to be quiet, they'd also decided it would be fun to get the bucket of chicken & see if they could get Stormfly to chase them for it, Volka tries her best to calm Stormfly down but to no avail.

"We better go & help Volka" Erit says before rushing off, Fishlegs & Gobber go to cut the three drunk Vikings apart in the hope of making them stop while Hiccup takes the spike out of the winning design & takes it down from the wall, he narrowly avoids getting hit by more spikes as Stormfly & the twins run past him he quickly puts the winning design in his armour & goes to help deal with the situation.    

"What is going on in here?" Astrid demands walking in to the ring the three baby dragons at her feet running towards their mother who is chasing Snotlowt & the twins. "It was going so well now it's descending into chaos" Hiccup replies. "On the bright side I know what I'll be making for your morning gift" "Oh that's good" The noise of the chaos behind them caught their attention & they turn round to see Fishlegs & Gobber trying to stop Snotlowt & the twins from running around with the basket of chicken while Volka & Erit try to calm Stormfly & the baby dragons. 

Stormfly raises her spikes ready to strike & she ignores the cries for her to stop & fires, but by chains her aim isn't good & although lots of the spikes missed hitting anyone, one goes into Erit's leg right in the middle of his thigh & everyone stops what they are doing as Erit collapses to the ground. 

"Oh my god's Erit!" Astrid exclaims as she & Hiccup run to his side. "Oops" Ruffnut says putting down the basket of chicken. "Erit Are you ok?" Hiccup & Astrid ask. "I'm fine" Erit says sarcastically while Volka finally manages to get the dragons & Stormfly calm. "Except the poisonous spike in my leg" "Good job we know how to deal with this" Hiccup says as he & Fishlegs help Erit to his feet.    

"You!" Astrid yells at Snotlowt & the twins as she stands up again. "This is all your fault! If you'd just behaved like Hiccup asked none of this would never have happened! You'd better start running because I'm going to kill you for provoking Stormfly!" "& the resulting spike in my leg!" Erit ads, Hiccup lets Gobber take over from keeping Erit upright & goes over to Astrid hoping to calm her down. 

"Astrid you can kill them later" He says. "Right now we need to sort out Erit's leg before the poison really starts working & you're the one with a good amount of the cure" "Fine" Astrid says taking a deep breath, she turns round & starts to walk over to Stormfly to check on her & gives her a scratch under the chin to let her know everything is ok now. "& you three!" Hiccup says sternly turning to the three drunk Vikings. "Go home, get some sleep & I'll deal with you in the morning!" "We're likely to be sleeping off hangovers in the morning" Snotlowt points out. "Oh no you won't you'll be back here early tomorrow morning, I'll make sure of it!" Hiccup says sternly.
