At first I thought it was a joke.

Nothing but a harmless chain message sent out to sort between those who knew better, and those who didn't. Of course, the ones who didn't would send it to all of their friends hoping not to get cursed, and so forth. This was different.

It was about four in the morning when it happened, I got the text.

Me being a night owl, I opened it to an unknown number with a small paragraph of words jumbled together. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Who was this person, and why was he or she sending me this before introducing themselves? My eyes quickly looked through the text to relieve my curiosity.

The message had nothing but boldly darkened random numbers all jumbled together, like they were all trying to standout all at once. My fingers typed the words: "Who is this?"

and before my eyes could even blink, another paragraph followed.

"I touch you, you touch me." it said. "Don't bother to rest your curiosity. One by one you'll understand. join him and I, hand in hand. Come face to face with the beholder of thousands and thousands. Learn more than ones that are older than many mountains. For you are the new overseer of the world, do what you please. You and your curiosity will now rest at ease."

and then everything from that point on only got worst.
