Welcome Home

It's now the middle of July and the date that Ymir decided to come home.
She had a long car ride and was exhausted from having stayed up getting ready so she took a small nap before she got there. She had texted Christa earlier that she was on her way back. Ymir's been gone for about a month now. She had left a while back after getting into a fight. After Christa constantly begged her to come home it was time she went back.

Ymir was now at her apartment building.
She picked up her luggage and went inside.
She took the elevator to her floor because honestly, she's too lazy to walk up the stairs. She made it to her room and rummaged through her stuff looking for her keys.
Once she found them she unlocked the door and opened it slowly.

She strutted into the apartment and sighed. "Hello.....I'm back...."

She looked up and was immediately welcomed with a loud. "WELCOME BACK YMIR!"
She dropped her luggage as her friends stood in the doorway holding a "welcome back" banner.

Was this Christa's idea? She wondered.
She was surprised at all of this.
She was greeted by some of her friends including:Armin,Bertholdt,Mike,Hanji,Erwin, surprisingly Levi, even though he was probably only there because Hanji forced him to come, and others.

She quickly scanned the room for Christa but didn't see her anywhere in sight.
She sighed loudly and set her luggage down before hearing footsteps racing down the stairs.
A familiar voice screamed as a small girl came running through the hallway in her direction "YMIRRRRRR!!!"
Without hesitation she jumped right on top of Ymir.

"Christa!" She exclaimed happily picking up Christa and hugging her.
"I missed you so much."
Christa hugged her back tightly, tears welling up in her eyes as she grasped onto Ymir.

The brown haired girl soothed the small girl in her arms.
She growled at everyone as they stared silently."Shhhh. I have you Christa."

The blonde looked at Christa and wiped her tears away." I'm just happy you're back. Oh, and Reiner told me to give you these when you return. It's kind of a sorry gift." She pointed to a vase of roses on the table.

To be honest Ymir wasn't flattered in the least.
"Mhm.....Anyways you didn't need t-"
Ymir was suddenly cut short of her sentence by a loud beeping noise.
"Oh! Ymir, I almost forgot." Christa clapped her hands together happily and ran into the kitchen.
"I made cake. Want some?"

Ymir gave her a gentle smile."Yes, please"
She missed this so much. It was nice to be back again.

"I hope angel cake is ok with you." She grabbed some oven mitts and putt them on before taking the cake out of the oven.
Ymir snorted specifically at the type of cake it was.
Christa gave her a confused look and Ymir
cleared her throat and stopped laughing."Excuse me..​yes it's fine." She said but now was internally laughing.

Christa noticed her snort and pouted wondering What's so funny?
She set the cake on the counter and got out some plates.
Ymir patted Christa's head and chuckled."Wow, you are adorable~
An angel cake? I'm more alive and ready to kill people."
She looked at the cake for a second."But it does look appetizing."

Christa blushed slightly while cutting her a slice."I know."

Ymir took the piece and grabbed a fork." Thank you."
Christa sat down at the counter and patted the seat next to her."Come sit with me."

While eating a Eren had walked up to Ymir."Hey. It's nice seeing you again. Where did you go?"

"Hello Eren." Ymir sat down next to Christa then answered his question.
"I just needed time to myself." She replied stuffing the cake down her throat."I noticed Mikasa isn't here. Where is she?"
