I lean against the small window of the airplane and gaze into the clouds. It was a long flight, and I tried to fall asleep many times, but my thoughts and questions lingered in my head, making sleep impossible. My mother, however, did not have this problem. She was sound asleep in the seat to the right of me, lightly snoring.

I allow my thoughts to wonder to Zach. Don't get me wrong, I'm beside myself with excitement to meet my brother, but I'm extremely nervous. I plotted out the scenario in my head countless times, and every time, I find myself wanting Zach to recognize me. I try to push that thought out if my mind. I know he won't remember me, but I'll still be disappointed when he doesn't.

About an hour later, the pilot comes over the intercom and announces that we are now landing. I gently shake my mother to consciousness, then proceed to gather my things. There wasn't much to gather, just my earbuds, phone, fluffy blue blanket, and an empty Starbucks cup that used to contain a mocha frappe. My mom also collected her belongings as she stood up and began to exit the plane. I hissed in pain as I stood up, and immediately sat back down.

"Is it your knee?" My mom asks, turning back around. Concern is written all over her face.

"Yeah," I breathed out, "but I'll be fine," I assure her. I adjust the fuzzy black brace that occupies my left knee. I tore my ACL, last November, and it never fully recovered. After doing a few knee stretches, I stood up slowly, and we exited the plane.

We pick up our luggage and continue walking, then catch an Uber to our hotel, which is about 45 minutes from the airport.

"After we get back to the hotel we will only have about an hour to get ready and go to the concert," my mom explains while we are sitting in the backseat of the uber.

I nod my head in understanding, "a-are you nervous at all?"

"Well I'm not the one meeting him," my mom lets out a small chuckle, "we decided that you would go meet Zach alone, remember?"

"Right, of course."

My mom hesitates, "Evie, are you nervous?"

"What? No! No, why would I be nervous? That's crazy," I say as I bite my lip.

"You're biting your lip honey," She laughs again. Dang it, I always bite my lip when I lie. "There's nothing to be nervous about, Everleigh. You decided not to say anything about the whole 'twin thing' so as far as he knows, you're just another fan," she simply states.

"Yeah," I say, trying to convince myself of that, "yeah."
