I own absolutely nothing except the spelling mistakes and the randomness my brain comes up with but definitely not any of the characters or series I reference. They belong to their respective owners.

All clear? Ok.

They were impossible to look away from. The way they soared through the air, they way they defied gravity. They accomplished their feat with so much grace it was like they could fly. It was enchanting. They called out to their son who was standing on the platform waiting for his turn to fly, to defy gravity. He looked up seemingly out of habit and when he looked back at his parents his face was one of absolute horror. He screamed at them pointing above him. They looked up and their faces lost their glow of excitement, being replaced by looks identical to their son's. Then a SNAP echoed around the tent and they called out to him, he leaned over the side of the platform fingers an inche from his mothers as a scream was torn from his throat. They fell, all eyes on them. A sickening CRACK could be heard clearly through the tent as the screams went silent. Their son was looking at them tears streaming down his face; the audience looked at them frozen in horror. They were impossible to look away from.

Richard John Grayson felt numb, his tears long since dried up as he was lead to a police van. The man was an alpha and clearly trying to be comforting. He was failing. He lead him to a beta woman told him something about taking care of him. He wasn't listening, her voice adding to the constant ringing that was all he could hear.

Eventually she said something and left him alone sitting wrapped up in a shock blanket by a police car. When she was out of sight a man emerged from the trees and stood in front of him.

He felt like he should actually listen to this man so he looked up into his eyes. They were hard and cold but at least they weren't filled with fake sympathy and concern like everyone else's.

"My name is Talon, and the Court Of Owls wants to help you. To train you so nothing can hurt you again. Would you like that?" Silently Richard looked at him considering his offer. He didn't know who the court was but the offer was more appealing than a foster home with people trying to replace his parents. He nodded and the mans lips twitched upwards.
"Follow me." Talon said and Richard did, because he didn't want to be hurt like this ever again.

11 year old Richard (Dick) John Grayson layed on his bed groaning in pain. He didn't feel right and his stomach felt hollow. He was also pretty sure he was running a fever. He groaned again feeling like absolute crap.

The door opened and one of his trainers came into the room. When he saw Dick he did a double take. Then he smiled.
"Your presenting." He told the clearly confused and in pain pre-teen. Then he left the room.

He came back ten minutes later with a small pill and a glass of water. He walked over to Dick and sitting him up put the pill in his mouth before putting the water to his lips. Dick promptly drained it.

They sat there for a while before Dicks eyes started to clear and his trainer explained what was happening to him.
"Your presenting." He was informed.
"Whaa?" Was the ever so intelligent response. The Talon smiled
"Your presenting. Your an omega." He stated a little more clearly to Dick's befuddled brain.
"Sound great." He slurred.
