The Roadtrip That Changed Everything

HEY! It's Shalaine! (@ashbdays5) Hannah (@Thebritbrits) and I decided to write a joint story together, so I hope you like it. I'll be doing the odd chapters, and Hannah'll be doing the evens.

Kaitlyn's P.O.V

I got out of my car and ran to Victoria as fast as I could in these heels.

"Kait!" Victoria squealed when she saw me.

"Hey." I smiled and saw that Jacob, Reese, and Noah walk over to us. 

"I can't believe we're graduating today!" Victoria said giddily. "We're almost out of this hell hole!!" 

"I know right!" Jacob said in a bad falsetto voice. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I just can't wait till our road trip." Reese said. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'm still driving aren't I?" Noah groaned. 

"Yup!" We said in unison as we linked arms and walked into school.

Luckily Victoria was sitting next to me, so this wasn't all that boring.

"Now we will have our valedictorian, Jane Bennet to come on stage and say her speech." Principal Waters said. Victoria rolled her eyes. 

Jane stood up from her seat next to Noel and walked proudly on stage and to the podium. 

 "Fellow classmates, teachers, and parents." She began in a sickly sweet voice. "If someone told me four years ago that I was going to be class valedictorian, I would have probably told them to get their head checked." The crowd let out a heartily laugh before she continued. "But I'm proud to be representing the class of 2012. We've all grown up together, and managed to stick together through all the heartbreak, the drama, and the twists and turns of life." She readjusted her blonde hair, exposing the left side of her neck. 

"Ohmigod she has a hickey!" Victoria whispered and pointed to a large red spot on her neck. 

"I know what she and Noel were doing last night." I snickered. 

Victoria glared at me. "I would have been a much better valedictorian than her." She changed the topic. Noel was a touchy subject to her.

I nodded in agreement. "You're far less boring than Plain Jane."

Victoria smiled, but you could see in her eyes that she was bothered by something. And I think I know what it was.

"Okay, out with it." I demanded.

"What?" Victoria asked sounding confused.

"Is it Noah or Noel? Wait, what is this thing with all the 'N' names." I said.

"I don't know. And it's both, ever since Noah confessed, it's been the most awkward thing ever. And I just don't know about Noel." Victoria answered.

"Thank you Jane, for that wonderful speech." Principal Waters said. You could tell that he was trying not to look at her neck.

Jane smiled then walked down the stairs of the stage and to her seat next to Noel. The most hilarious thing was that Noel was fixing her hair to cover the hickey on the side of her neck. When the students saw, they had to try to hold in their laughter. When the parents saw, they looked horrified.

After the graduation ended we all ended up outside.

Noah, Jake, Reese, Victoria, and I were standing in a circle when Jane and Noel came over.

"What do you want Jane?" I asked, sounding annoyed. She looked surprised by my tone of voice, but decided to brush it off.

"I just wanted to invite you guys to my party tonight. You know, since high school is finally over." Jane said. Noel just nodded behind her. What was the point of him being over here?

"Awesome!" Reese said.

"You in?" She asked Victoria and I. I looked at her for approval. She nodded.

"Yeah, we're coming." I told Jane. 

She smiled and said, "Great. See you there." And walked away with Noel trailing behind her.

I felt arms snake around my waist. I turned around and saw Brody.

"Hey." I smiled.

He gave me a quick peck on the cheek and said, "I was looking for you." 

"Well, you found me!"

"Yeah, so are you going to Jane's party tonight?"

"Yup!" i said popping the 'P'.

"Cool see you there." He grinned and walked to his family.

"Hey I heard there's a party! I'm bringing Andrea!" Mike said walking up to us.

"No, Mike. You will not go to this party!" Victoria yelled. I smirked.

"Why not?" Mike asked 

"How only like what? 11?" Noah said.

"No, I'm 12." Mike informed Noah.

"Big difference." I laughed. Mike rolled his eyes.

"Mike go find your girlfriend or something." Victoria said. Mike turned and ran to Greg.

"Kait, we should go." Victoria said.

"Why?" I asked.

"To get ready for the party!" Victoria said and pulled me to her car.
