"AHHH" marionette screeched in pain, as her uncle repetitively hit her stomach with a baseball bat.
Marionette dupain-chang had been staying with her uncle Mathew whilst her parents were away on a 3 year trip to their home town, China.
6 weeks have gone by and ms. And Mr. Dupian-chang are oblivious of there relatives abusive ways towards marinette. Mathew is constantly drinking and taking drugs, causing him to spiral out of control whilst marinette suffers from the circumstances.
Of course, most kids who suffer abuse, see school as their get away, but not marinette. Marinette is secretly bullied by the mayors daughter, chloe.
Marinette still manages to see the light in life and continues to fight crime in Paris as the mystical LADYBUG.

"Eeoouuchh" marinette continued to grown in pain as the bat collided with her weak and limp body over and over.
It was currently 5:00 pm, time for, what her uncle likes to call it, her 'afternoon beating'.
Mathew continued to bruise and blister marinettes skin for another 10 minuets, before pushing her up the stairs and locking her in her own room.
Marinette walked over to her mirror, waddling, still weak, and slowly lifted up her shirt, exposing multiple already forming bruises placed around her stomach, as well as a gash on her top lip and above her eye.
Marinette started her daily routine and pulled her first aid kit out from under her bed, and started cleaning the cuts. She then changed into her PJs and hopped into bed, after informing her kwami that she was fine.
