The forgotten twin (Marauders - Remus Lupin)

Prologue

Melanie Potter case:
File 1:

August 1st 1965,

The 5 year old Melanie Potter was attacked. She now has the werewolf gene running through her veins. It occurred earlier today. We still don't know who attacked her and we have yet to find out why. What we do know however is where and when the events took place.

It was in the forest at the back of the Potter house at 3:00 o'clock. She is now in hospital whilst we are waiting for her to wake up from he coma state. We haven't given her any injections, in order to help her, because once we did the blood test's, it showed that  Melanie is fighting this off like a disease, and by the looks of it she can win, meaning she could go back to normal.

Her family are not allowed to tell any one about what has happened because we don't know how she will respond when she wakes up. If she even does wakes up.

File 5:

August 5th 1965,

Melanie has shown progress since I last gave you my report on her state. She has woken up and is behaving like she would at home. We can not discharge her yet because we still have yet to receive the blood test's. She has been visited by her brother, James Potter and when she told him what happened he refused to leave when visiting hours where over. So, if you find a young boy sleeping in the chair next to Melanie's bed you now know who it is. One of her friends also visited her and thankfully, she didn't tell her what happened, but she did make up a funny story which her friend believed.

File 13:

August 13th 1965,

We have now received the results for the blood test's. She still has the werewolf gene, but it is so weak that she won't be able to turn into a full werewolf on a full moon, she will only have the following side effects:
- golden eyes
- fangs
- claws (which she will have control over)
- wolf ears
- and a white wolf (not werewolf)

And that's all. She now classes as one of the very rare species. She is half a werewolf. We can not give her the training she needs. Therefore, she will have to be moved to France and will be trained when she turns 11. She will stay there until she is fully trained and knows how to use her abilities for good.

She doesn't need to be kept away from society. Just inform her parents that she is to be escorted to the forest by one of them every full moon. I know her parents will be safe because she keeps her sane mind unlike regular werewolves whose  mind changes completely.

Apart from that, tomorrow, she can be discharged since everything else seems normal with her. She is practically a regular girl with enhanced senses (full moon or not).

File 14:

August 14th 1965,

Melanie Potter was discharged  from our care. There will be no more files on her. I will still look out for her and i will make sure she gets the right upbringing, for she is a bright witch for her age. This will be the final case I will work so closely on. So it only feels right for me to sign out of this case with my name.

Melanie pov:

I had been preparing to leave since I first seen my files. My mum had only showed me four files because apparently they were the most significant ones. I have seen the others and they are just two sentences about how I was and my progress.

James helped me pack my bags and I know he will never admit this but I saw tears in his eyes. I had almost cried too. I didn't want to leave but if it meant I could use my abilities for good then I am willing to do it. I was also told that my training would help my human strength (so I don't always have to rely on my supernatural powers) as well as help my mental state.

When I left, it was heart breaking for my family because to them, they didn't know how long I would be gone for and for them this would be the last time they ever saw me as this young child for when I return I would no longer be that little innocent girl anymore.

That was the last they saw of me...

Only joking, I came back before they knew it and I had defiantly changed.
