Rose's POV
~still ten days before~

I thought to myself, Is this a trap? Am I really going to die? Who even wrote the book? The book was extremely detailed and accurate as I read about former assassins that has passed.

I was still panting after several minutes of walking around the street to catch my breath. My nerves started to calm down as I spot Ethan walking towards me.

"What are you doing here, Nelly?" he questioned.

I met his gaze and pointed towards the Starbucks joint I was standing next to, "Just to get coffee, duh."

"Then, why were you panting?"

"Uh, well, I-"

"What happened, Nelly?"

"N-nothing." I stuttered.

"Hmph, if you say so." He huffed as a sign of annoyance.

He swung his arm over my shoulders and started to guide me to the Starbucks. He paid for my coffee even after protests from ... myself. I hated when he'd buy me anything, it makes me feel like a spoiled brat.

I sipped on my coffee, enjoying every water molecule that is in the cup as Ethan and I walk back to the penthouse, hand in hand. I looked away to avoid his gaze. I was already feeling flustered because of our interlocked hands and I just didn't want him to see me blush like an idiot.

"You're cute when you blush."

"What?"

"I said you're cute when you blush."

"Uh okay, thanks?" I answered and my voice squeaked as I thanked him for complimenting my cheeks.

He chuckled and tugged at my hand to bring me to somewhere else that I did not have any knowledge upon. We were walking in between an alley and I felt creepy vibes.

"Uh, Ethan?"

"Yea?"

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see." he tightened his grip on my hand.

This is when I die, I thought.

Hm, the book wasn't as accurate as I thought it was. Hah, f*ck you book.

I looked around to find any possible weapons I could use against my murderer if I really do happen to be walking to a trap, for my death. But then, I recalled that I had a gun in my purse so I, eventually, stopped looking around.

I looked down to admire my outfit once more before I was going to be stabbed in my chest, or raped until I die or maybe skinned until I bleed to death. At least I'll look cute when the police arrives to look at my crimson red stained sweater dress, I thought again.

Soon, I was blessed with rays from the sun after we exited the very long alley and I was greeted by the sound of waves. My eyes widened as I saw a very beautiful scenery. He brought me to a beach! Hm, I guess I wasn't going to die after all.

He chuckled as he lead me to an abandoned umbrella in the middle of the beach. I breathed the salty air as wind breezed through my hair. I chuckled softly as I looked at my choice of outfit and the location Ethan brought.
