Day 1
"Bye Kate, see you at school tomorrow," Dustin told Kate as she was leaving his house to go home.
"Bye Dustin," Kate responded back to him in a mocking tone.
After they said their good byes Kate headed home, but she never reached home that night. It was three o'clock in the morning when Kate's family knew that something was wrong, Kate was still not home from Dustin's. They decided to call Dustin's house to see if she was there. *ring ring* "Hello?" the voice on the other line said.
"Hi this is Mrs.Lower, Kate's mom, is she there at your house?"
"No she's not she left about 9 hours ago, why is she ok?" Mrs. Hall, Dustin's mother questioned.
"She never came home, we called all her friends she is nowhere to be found," Mrs.Lower said.
"Call the police right now, bye"
"Ok, bye" and the receiver went quiet.
*ring ring* "Sabine county police station how may I help you?" the voice said.
"Excuse me sir my daughter never came home last night," Mrs.Lower said.
"How long has she been missing?" Officer Daniels asked.
"About 9 hours, please bring my daughter home." she begged.
"I will try my best ma'am, get some rest now," he told her.
"Thank you and I will," she said and hung up.
Day 2
When Mrs. Hall woke up she got a cup of coffee and read the news paper not even thinking about her daughter, but that changed when she saw this article.
MISSING
Name:Kate Hall
Age:16
Eyes:Brown
Hair:Brown
Height:5'6"
Last Seen:
Riding her bicycle home
from a friends house.
This article made her fall to her knees and cry. She had forgotten that her daughter never came home last night. She got up off the floor and went to the kitchen to get a towel to clean up the coffee that she had dropped on the floor, when there was a knock on the door. She walked over to the door and opened it, the person at the door was officer Daniels. "Good morning ma'am how are you doing?" he asked.
"Not so good, why are you here did you get new information about my daughter?" she asked hesitating.
"Yes we found your daughters bicycle on the side of the road in the next town over, there were two different fingerprints on it, one was your daughters and the other was a man by the name of Chase Howard, he has kidnapped other girls before. If we are lucky we can get to Kate before something happens," officer Daniels informed her.
"What do you mean by bad like is he going to kill her?" she questioned.
"He has done this before we do not want this to happen again." He said.
Day 3
The next morning Mrs. Hall awoke to the sounds of birds chirping. She decided to go on the computer and search Chase Howard, who had abducted her daughter. When it came up on her screen she read a name that looked very familiar so she clicked on the web browser. It was an old missing persons report for a girl named Callie Daniels the daughter of officer Daniels who is working on her case. After reading the report she searched Callie Daniels and it said that she was found dead in the Maki Pond. She now realized why he wanted to find Kate so bad, he had lost his own daughter to the same man and he did not want her to have to go through the same thing. Knowing the fact that Chase Howard had killed a girl once she was scared that it would happen to her daughter too.
Day 4
Mrs.Hall was startled when she was waken up by sirens speeding past her house. Fearing it had something to do with her daughter she ran out the door and jumped in the car as an ambulance drove by. She followed the last car to where they were headed when they pulled into the state park parking lot and jumped out with search dogs she knew what had happened. She ran after the police officers to a spot right by the parks pond, where she saw a black looking garbage bag that lay lifeless on the ground. When she burst in to tears the police officers tried their hardest to get her out of the woods away from the body because they knew she was the mother.
