Jade was drowning in exhaustion. Being a first time mother was difficult, she'd cried more times than she could've ever anticipated, she felt alone most of the time and she felt drained.

The baby was now two months old and for the first seven weeks that Perrie was home, she felt as if the routine was shared but as soon as she went back to work she felt it all. Sometimes she felt as if she had the weight of the world on her shoulders but she wouldn't dare tell Perrie, she didn't want her to feel as if it was her fault.

Baby Shiloh was born at 06:19 A.M. October 7th, 2020 weighing 5 pounds 11 ounces with Jades chocolate button eyes. She completely graced both her mothers lives the moment they set eyes on her, they knew she'd taken over their hearts but unfortunately for Jade that wasn't all she'd taken up.

With her waking up at least 3 times a night for forty five minuets to an hour, Jade couldn't take it anymore. She loved her baby with all she had but she couldn't admit to anybody that she was struggling, she didn't want to see like the weak parent who can't handle their baby, so much so that she'd even hidden it from her wife.

"Come on Shi" she sat on the chair in the corner of the baby's room rocking her back and forth while patting her bottom to soothe her but of course it didn't work and all she done was give out a loud wail, Jade was positive she got her lungs from mama.

"Please baby, calm down for mum. You must be tired by now" As Jade continued to rock Shiloh back and forth in hopes of tiring her little body she heard Perrie making her way up the stairs, bringing the cold draft with her from when she opened the door. "Jadey?"

Jade didn't say a word. Instead she looked down at the crying bundle of joy in her arms, hoping she'd have some sort of miracle all of a sudden to get the baby to sleep. "Oh Jade" Perrie stood in the frame of the door watching the scene before her and Jade could feel her tears coming now. Great. Two crying babies in the room.

Perrie rushed over to Jade, taking Shiloh from her arms. She kissed the top of her head and held her so her head was resting on Perries shoulder. "There you go, darling" she cooed in her sweetest baby voice. "No need for tears" she paced the room with the baby, bounding her ever so slightly which seemed to stop the tears, she carried this on until she was sure that she'd go down.

"I-" Jade still sat in the chair, tears falling as she pulled her legs up to her chest and wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her house coat. "She wouldn't stop crying, she never stops crying for me"

Perrie put the baby down in her cotton white crib with little pink bows tied to the sides before joining Jade on the chair. She lifted her up before sitting herself down and pulling Jade on to her lap so they could talk. "Baby, if you've been struggling why didn't you talk to me, you know you can always talk to me don't you?"

Jade nodded. "So why didn't you come to me, you know you can always talk to me don't you?" Jade just sat and nodded again, wiping her eyes with her already damp sleeves.

"I didn't want you to think I wasn't a good mum, or I couldn't do it. I didn't want you to feel like you had to stay home from work because of me." Perrie pulled Jade close to her chest, running her fingers through her hair as she whispered in her ear.

"Jadey, you're the best mum Shiloh could've asked for. You give her your everything and your unconditional love and undivided attention" Jade turner her head to listen to Perries words as she sat on her knee.

"She can probably sense it when you're stressed and that's why she can't rest. She needs for you to relax. You're a natural born mother, some things will just take time and right now, maybe what you need is for me to be at home with you both." This was exactly what Jade needed. Although she didn't want to admit it, right now all she needed was support and love from her wife. She needed someone to be there.

"And that's why I'm gong to take some more time off of work, I'll go back when we're content with everything. I shouldn't have rushed going back in the first place. I'm sorry." Perrie shook her head as she ran her fingers up and down jades arm. Feeling her body finally relax.

"Don't be sorry. I should have spoken to you about it all. I just didn't want you to think that i wasn't capable." She shrugged. "I know you're more than capable baby, you're just exhausted is all. You'll be fine soon"

Perrie grabbed Jades hand and planted a kiss on each finger until reaching her ring. "Do you promise?"

"I promise baby"
