"Sir?" I raised an eyebrow, eyeing my mentor.

"Hmm?" he was still staring at the body, lost in his thoughts.

"Why did you cry when they announced that superstar's death? We kill people all the time." I asked the question that has been burning on the back of my mind for a while.

A haunting silence filled the air, leaving my words cold. His sigh broke the silence and with a voice as soft as the lightest breeze he answered, "She was my daughter."

I stared at him. It looked like he was fighting to hold back his tears. I shook my head, not knowing how to respond. I don't know emotion. It seems like a gift and at the same time a curse.

A gift that has been taken from me before I could even open my eyes. A curse that in order to be happy you must feel pain.

"Come" Travis beckoned for me to follow, leading me out of the room. He pulled on a stern expression to hide his grief. "The cleaning team will take care of the mess."

We walked into the main office. A young beautiful woman was waiting for us here. Her rust coloured hair contrasted her gray eyes. The freckles on her face reminded me of the stars in the night.

"Greetings" she said in a mellow tone. I greeted with a handshake and Travis simply nodded as greeting.

She turned her gaze towards me, "So Alexander Olliston is dead?" I nodded. "He's out like a candle" I forced a grin.
