Hermione's POV:

"Hermione? Hermione please wake up. Please open your eyes and look at me." I know the voice and my heart skips a million beats. My eyes flutter open. Before me, Draco is standing, his usual crisp white buttondown soaked in blood.

"Draco?" I try to sit up, but I can't. Something has me pinned down.

"Hermione, help." He has a blade in his right hand. When he raises his hand, the blade is still attached, like it is a part of him. The blade is bloody, and if I look closely, red hair is sticking to it. "Hermione, I'm sorry." I turn away from him and see Ron's lifeless body on the floor. The floor is an ocean of blood.

"Draco, what did you do?!" I manage to raise my hand, and suddenly, the blade that was used to kill Ron in a part of my hand. Sonething warm trickles down the side of my face. I reach my free hand up to examine the product, and when I look at my hand after running my fingers through it, my fingers are bloody. I blink once. Twice. Three times. My sheets are covered in blood. I'm seeing red. Then all there is, is a white flash. I open my eyes. I'm sitting up. I'm okay. Draco is gone, Ron's dead body is gone.

Then the images reappear like strobe lights, here again, not again, here again, not again. The only constant is Fred's body sitting on the edge of the bed. He looks me in the eyes and speaks. "Remember the enemy, Hermione." I black out.

I hazily open my eyes. Sheer sunlight blows in the room. I sit up. Flowers and get well cards and chocolate are on my bedside table. There is one card that stands out. A white paper, folded in two, my name written in familiar handwriting on the front. I unfold it and have a heart attack.

Remember the enemy, Ms. Granger.
