"Von Drehle..." she knew someone was calling her, but the need for sleep was overwhelming.
"Von Drehle!"
She jumped, she realized she must've fallen asleep...Again.
"Sorry sir..." She said.
"Sorry won't cut it this time," Mr. Hughes started ", this is the third time you've fallen asleep during your shift this week."
"Uh, w-well."
"You've been creating spells again, haven't you?" Mr. Hughes spat out in disgust.
"I...I didn't finish any of them...yet" she knew she was in for it now, Mr. Hughes would never understand her way of thinking. He wouldn't understand that she only did this for the greater good. How her spells could revolutionize the ways of healing witches and wizards everywhere.
"I knew it!" he yelled ", I told you time and time again how disastrous things could come from this!"
"B-But sir!" she stuttered ", if only you could see how my spells could help us! Think about it! I have one spell in mind that coul-"
"Enough!" he barked ", no more talk of spells, or I will have no choice but to fire you."
He then mumbled something she couldn't hear about their reputation at stake, but she knew better than to question it.
She would have to work out times other then night to work on her spells to prevent falling asleep again. She had so many ideas but not enough time. She wanted to change the fact that the only way to heal were potions. Her spell work was near perfect as she said so herself. She worked at the very first "St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries" in current time 1846. She hoped that one day, she could be a healer and help people with all sorts of injuries. But currently, she was Mr. Ivor Hughes' personal assistant. Mr. Hughes was head of the "Spell Damage" department on floor number four. It would be time for her to clock out and head home soon where Alarica Von Drehle would finally be at peace. Until then she would stay out of Mr. Hughes way until he calmed down. In the meantime she would imagine new spells that needed inventing
