It was a Friday night. I was at Hazel's house. We were watching a movie. She laid in my arms as we watch. Her room was dark and the house was quiet.

"This is boring." I mutter. "Lets watch something else."

Hazel sits up and turns off the tv instead. "Nothing good is on."

"Then what would you like to do?" I ask.

Hazel lays back down beside me. "Can we go to the building."

I smile at I nod. "Yeah, sure."

We both get up and put something a little bit warmer on. Hazel grabs her keys and we leave out the door. Hazel didn't really live by me. She was a bit away.

We drove pass Carson's house and I stare at it as we pass by. When we pull up the building we both get out. I let Hazel climb first. When we reach to the top. We take a seat. I embrace her in my arms as we stared at the town lights. It was beautiful.

Carson's P.O.V

"So how's James?" My dad asks.

I nod. "Good. He's great.",

"And whats it like?"

I shrug. "It's weird."

My dad chuckles and places his cutlery down. "Better get used it."

My mom chimes in with laughter. I roll my eyes playfully and I put my dishes in the sink. I stare at the stars outside and I think.

"Dad." I sat looking out at the view. "I'm gonna take a little walk."

He turns back. "Why?"

"I just need fresh air."

My dad stands up and places his dishes in the sink.

"Only for half hour. Then you come back."

I nod and I run upstairs to get my jacket and shoes. I head for the front door and I walk down the street. The breeze hit me and it felt really good. First I went to Ethan's. I hadn't seen him in so long. It sucked and I missed being around him.

I knock on the door and I hear footsteps.

"Hey." I say.

"Hello. He smiles.

"I was just wondering if he was here."

It was Ethan's twin brother. He stood there looking for the right words to say.

"Uh, he's at Hazel's." He says awkwardly. "I'm not sure when he'll be back."

"That's okay." I smile. "Thank you."

He sends me one last smile before I leave. I continue to walk down the street more. As I keep walking down I didn't realise how far I had come. My thoughts had been taking over my body.

The building Ethan and I used to go to came into view. I smile as I walk closer. But as I did, the clearer it had came. I saw two people at the top. Sitting on the edge. She was in his arms in the one place where I felt close to someone. I turn around and I head home.

And I didn't have any reason to be angry. He wasn't mine.
