I was skating down the halls like I always did. I always left class to do my own thing and to clear my own head. I've been caught many times skating around the halls. I've gotten into plenty of trouble for it.

As I was skating around to the front I see Carson leaving. I skate faster as I begin to catch up. I hop off and I run after her, grabbing her arm. She pulls away and turns around.

"Oh, you." She says.

"Oh, yeah, me." I chuckle. "Why are you leaving?"

Carson looks around and shakes her head. "Not feeling good."

She begins to walk away but I grab her arm again.

"What's up with you?" I question. "You wanna talk about it?"

Carson laughs and shakes her head. "Where? At the building?"

"If you want-"

"Won't you and Hazel be there?" She asks with a blank stare."

"Carson-"

"I saw you." She shrugs. "I can't be angry. And I guess I won't be angry."

"I'm sorry-"

"Please, Ethan." Carson cuts me off. "Just leave me alone."

With that she left, storming down the hall with her books clenched into her hand. I rub my hair out of my face and I turn around. I throw my board at the ground and I walk back into school.

I cover my face as tears roll down my cheeks. I hear a loud sound behind me. But, I ignore and I don't look back. And I did want to look back. That was the hardest part. I wanted things back to the way they were.

When I get home I throw my bag onto my bedroom floor. I fall onto my bed and I stare at the ceiling. And I did it for a long time. Because I was so confused. I don't know what I actually feel.

I get out of bed and I sit on my windowsill. The stars and moon shined right into my room. I close my eyes as the breeze touches my skin. Oh, how things can be so crazy.
