Ginny's P.O.V
That night, after I put James and Teddy to bed, I flop down next to Harry on the couch.
"Being a mother of two is exhausting." Harry just chuckles. "Hey! You go to work and I have to keep them occupied all day. Maybe one day I get to go relax and you take care of them. How'd you like that?"
"I wouldn't care as long as I got to see you at the end of the day, love." I swat at him.
"Ugh. If that ever happens I bet you wouldn't even know how to change a nappy." Harry just smiles.
"Let's go up to bed, you need your rest if you're going to take care of two very needy kids tomorrow.Harry's P.O.V
Ginny snuggles up to me when we lye down. We lay there while I play with her hair.
"I was thinking we could go see Mum on Thursday. She doesn't know about James and I miss her so much." I'm a bit scared to go see her family, honestly. She has 4 other brothers and a over-protective father.
"You mean tomorrow? Yeah, that's fine with me." We lay in silence for a while longer.
"I love our little family," She says, and I nod and kiss the back of her head. "It's weird to think that one day it might be even bigger." She caresses her stomach ever so slightly. I do like the thought of a bigger family. But what was the deal with that stomach caress? Don't woman normally do that when they're...pregnant? I glance at Ginny's face, which has a dreamy expression, then to her stomach. I quickly turn her over so she's facing me. "You're not.... are you...?" I stutter. She looks confused, and I glance back and forth between her face to her stomach.
She gasps. "God, Harry. No, I am not pregnant! My mother will be mad enough at me for getting pregnant once before I'm married and over twenty, but I think she would bloody murder me if I got pregnant again." I let out a sigh of relief.
"Okay, good. G'night, Gin. Love you."
"Love you too, Harry." Her breathing slows as she drifts off, and I'm about to fall asleep too when one of the boys starts crying and wakes us both up with a start.
"Welcome to the life of a parent," Ginny says sarcastically, as we head to the boys room.Ginny's POV
I walk into Teddy and James' room to find James bawling his eyes out, and Teddy joining in. I scoop up James in one arm and Teddy in the other as I make my way to the rocking chair. I rock them both, calming them down so they quiet a little. Teddy stops crying and grabs a fistful of my hair. I just laugh a little about how he loves to do that. I manage to grab a pacifier and put it in James mouth. Both of the are still awake, but are quiet now, and I sigh, leaning my head against the back of the rocking chair. I see Harry, leaning against the door frame, smiling at me.
"You're a great mother," He says. I just roll my eyes.
"You gonna help with one of them or just watch?" He opens his mouth to apologize and starts towards me, but I wave him off.
"Just kidding. Go back to bed, you need to rest. Tomorrow's gonna be hard if we both keep falling asleep. I got the boys."
"Are you sure?" I nod just as he yawns. "If they wake up again I'm getting them though."
"Ill take your word for it." He heads back to bed, and I lovingly watch my boys until I fall asleep._________________________
I'm awoken the next morning by James crying. He's back in his crib, so Harry must have moved them. Teddy's stirring in his sleep, and I don't want to wake him so I quickly take James downstairs, putting a pacifier in his mouth as I go. I reach the kitchen, and a wave of smells hit me, making my stomach rumble.
"Morning, love. Sleep well?" I nod as Harry gives me a quick kiss, then another on James' forehead. He then turns to flip a pancake.
"Harry, this looks wonderful! I didn't know you could cook!" I look over his shoulder and see bacon, eggs, toast with jam, and my favorite, coffee, sitting on the table.
He laughs a little. "I didn't either. You'd be surprised how hard it is to make food without magic." I give him a smile, which he returns lovingly, and set James in a highchair. I turn away from both of them and start to head upstairs to change, when James starts to sob, throwing his pacifier on the floor. I take a deep breath and slowly let it out. James has separation anxiety, more with me rather than Harry, and I can barely leave a room without him crying. I take out my wand and magic his pacifier clean from floor germs and hand it back to him, and then scoop him up.
"I guess you're coming, then." I sigh as I make my way up the stairs to my bedroom. I pick out a casual green top and some jeans, which I am surprised to find don't fit. I guess I haven't lost all of this baby weight yet. I reluctantly pull out a pair of leggings and tie a flannel shirt around my waist. I don't look half bad.
I take James back to the nursery where I change him and get him dressed. He acts like me trying to put clothes on him is the worst thing in the world. When I finally manage that task, I set him in a bouncer and turn to wake Teddy up.
"Teddy, honey, it's time to get up." I gently pick him up and rock him, then sit and bounce him carefully on my knee. He stirs and opens his eyes, only to shut them again and forcefully say, 'No.'
Teddy has just started speaking words like that, other than his stuffed animal, 'Woofy', the wolf, he doesn't really say names. Harry and I try to teach him to say Harry and Ginny, but he doesn't cooperate. Maybe when he's older.
Teddy snuggles up to my chest and I smile at him. He's stubborn just like his mum. He got her metamorphagus too. He has his fathers eyes and hair, at least when it's not a different color. I tickle him a little and he giggles, curling up to me even more.
"Harry made pancakes and toast. But I guess you don't get any." He perks up at the mention of pancakes. I pretend not to notice and set him in the crib.
"I wan pa-cakes!" He shrieks. I turn back to him.
"What do you say so you're not being rude, Teddy?" He scrunches his face up, thinking.
"I wan pa-cakes peas?" He says hopefully. I smile an pick him up.
"Good job, Teddy." He smiles happily and his hair turns a vibrant yellow, showing that he's happy. I move him over so he's on my hip and pick up James with extra caution, and head downstairs, ready to start the day.Thank you for reading!
