~Rose's P.O.V~
It's been years since I got separated from Norman. I don't know how I've survived like this. I have had different groups that I have bounced from, but they mostly ended up dying or betraying me. At this moment the only thing I'm trying to do is hunt for animals so that I could actually eat. The level of food I've been receiving is not good. The water level if even worse, but I have to push through. I have to find my dad. I still remember when we were separated....

Flashback
According to the news, a rapidly spreading disease was going around. Dad seemed worried. School was cancelled until further notice. Dad went out and told me to keep everything locked and shut up tight until he came back. I did, but I figured the backyard can't be a dangerous place. I decided to practice shooting my bow and arrow. That was my thing, dad's was his crossbow. I was doing target practice when I missed and hit someone in the head. Maybe it was something.

Suddenly, I noticed there were about a dozen of them coming to attack me. What did they want? Do they want to hurt me? Do they want to kill me? All I could think to do was run. My dad told me to keep a packed bag so I did. I am so glad I listened this time. I grabbed my clothes and the bag of food and water he told me to take in case of an emergency. I would consider this an emergency.

I ran out of the front door with my stuff and I turned to see something horrifying. One of those things was eating a person. Now it was headed towards me. I ran towards a family that had a car. They told me to get in and asked if I needed anything else from my house.

"MY BOW AND ARROW!" I screamed worriedly. They said they would go get it since I was young. I told them where it was and where the extra arrows would be. They had a few machetes as they where whipping through those things near my house. They entered and I was getting worried. They might be my only hope at surviving. They soon came back with my bow and some extra food and water. I was thankful.

"Here you go sweetie," they said as they handed me my bow and arrows. We started to head down the road. I don't know where to, but I hoped I my dad was alright.

End of Flashback
Since that day, I became very independent. I learned how to skin, and cook food. I learned how to decontaminate water. I learned how to shoot. I always had a gun by my side, but I preferred using my bow.

I was sitting down carving more arrows when I heard a walker trigger the sound of the can and barbed wire string I put up. I suddenly took my knife and stabbed it through the eye while pushing my hand up against the other side of its head so I could get a good grip. It's the easiest way to get in and out quickly. I didn't like using too many arrows cause they took a while to make. I also tried to reuse as many as possible, unless I'm in a hurry. I was starting to get tired, so I decided to lay down. I was a light sleeper, so I managed to get a few hours every night unless something woke me up. I managed to find a blanket that I could lay on. The fire I had managed to get started kept me nice and cozy.

I started to doze off when I heard my wire break. "Shit," I whispered to myself. I suddenly got up and realized it wasn't just one walker. It was about 20. I grabbed all that I could, which was my bow, knife, arrows, gun, my stick with rodents on it, and what water I had left. I cleared a path by killing about 4 of them in a row then ran, I ran as fast as I could. I was getting out of breath so I stopped, I couldn't hear the walkers anymore. I didn't think it was very safe. I walked for hours and hours. I took a sip of water everyonce in a while, but that's all I could spare.

The sun was starting to come up when I saw a fence in the distance. It looked to be a big building of some sort, maybe a prison. I thought I could maybe hide out there, but before I got the chance to, a gun was against the side of my head. I peered my eyes over to who was on the other side of the gun, it was a kid about my age. Appears to be about 14 as I noticed his big blue eyes that were covered by his long brown hair that went down the his shoulders.

"Are you bit?" He asked while his arm was shaky.

"No, no I'm not I just escaped a bunch of walkers and was looking for a safe place to stay."

"What's your name?"

"Rose."

"I'm Chandler." He said as he slowly lowered his gun.

I heard rustling from a short distance away. I figured it was a walker and I didn't want it heading towards the prison. I saw someone come out of the bush and into the sunlight. Out if instinct and fear, I held my gun up against their head. I realized it was a girl with long beautiful brown hair that went down to her butt and beautiful blue eyes. She looked to be about my age. I asked her if she was bit. She said she wasn't but I wasn't sure. Her name was Rose. She had to go through the test that all potential group members have to.

"How many walkers have you killed?" I asked

"Too many to count."

"How many people have you killed?"

"Three people."

"Why?"

"It's a kill or be killed world now. You have got to kill to survive. " She explained. Her answers made sense.

"I think you could be part of out group. Help me scavenge for supplies. I'm supposed to be on a run." She nodded her head and agreed.

As we walk she spoke out,"I never full introduced myself. I'm Rose Dixon, and you?"

"C-C-Carl Grimes. " I said nervously. Did Daryl have a daughter?
