Will had informed me that the doctor insisted that I stay until the next morning. Little did they know, I'd probably be about completely healed of all my injuries by then. But, of course, Will agreed to spend the night, and I was left to sit and stare at the wall until it was time to go back to the safehouse. At least they'd taken the tubes out of my arm.

Laying down against some pillows, I pondered the situation. Sure, I am going to go back to the safehouse without a fight, because who knows when another monster attack will happen. And if someone is hurt because of me again, I'll be devastated.

But when we get back, what happens then? Will I continue to train with Briseas and Leora, or will I be strapped in one of those straight jackets again? And what about Erebos, what will he do?

Sighing, I turned over in bed, lying on my side. A large flower bed was pressed against the outside wall, just under the window. Purple lilies spotted the mess of green ivy, and from the heated aura in my gut coming from the plants, I could tell it was very hot out. My mouth suddenly felt dry, and I glanced around the room to find a glass of water on a little table across the room.

I flipped back down in bed, looking up at the ceiling. "Gods, I can't believe I'm too lazy to walk across the room."

I was about to get up when something dripped on me. No, something splashed on me.

Drenched in what I hoped was water, I sat up in bed, wiping my eyes. My head swiveled around the room, only to see the glass of water, now empty, wrapped in a long, slender vine. My eyes followed the vine to where it slipped in through the window, which was now slightly cracked open. My brows furrowed as I looked back up at the glass, still hovering in the air. "What the hell...?"

As I leaned over and grabbed some napkins off the nightstand to my left, the door swung open. Will entered, looking me over and leaning against the far wall.

I huffed, "Gods, I'm so fed up."

The corners of Will's lips twitched up. "So you dumped water on your head?"

Rolling my eyes, I raised my finger, pointing up. Will's eyes followed, and his lips parted when he saw the vine. Now it was tossing the glass around in the air, doing a little dance. I frowned and threw the napkins back on the nightstand, but, of course, they landed too much to the right, falling to the floor. I glared up at Will, "Life can kiss my ass."

He cocked an eyebrow and looked back up at the vine, grinning. "You know, it's actually pretty cool. But next time you should aim for something else, not your head. Maybe your mouth?"

I rolled my eyes dramatically, "Not funny."

Will laughed, and closing my eyes, I felt a grin spread across my face. I love Will's laughs, even if they're directed at me.

I opened my eyes again, the warm feeling still there. And I did just in time to catch Will's stare, a slight smile pulling at his features. I quickly looked away, a blush creeping onto my cheeks that I hoped he hadn't seen.

"So, uh..." Will stammered, his hand shooting up to rub the back of his neck. "I was just heading to the cafeteria, and I thought you might be hungry."

I immediately jumped out of bed, glad to get out of the room. Will held the door open for me, and I was about to step out when I realized my hair was still wet and probably extremely knotty.

I leaned over and grabbed a black hair tie off the counter. Grabbing my long hair, I wrapped it up into a messy bun and looked to Will for confirmation. He nodded his head in approval, grinning as I strode out the door confidently.
