It was a quiet day, the only sound in the house was of the AC on. Mia a fourteen year old girl(furry) was in her room as usual listening to her favorite artist Crimson Stocking also known by his stage name "Lights Out", she had posters of him everywhere including a sweatshirt with his name and logo on it. She laid sprawled on her bed reading the latest news. She wasn't really the type of teen to focus on her looks, she never wore makeup didn't shop for the trending things and also didn't care if she was a bit overweight. She had longish dark brown hair, light brown fur, brown eyes, and the tips of her ears where dark brown while the rest was a light brown.
"I wish I could be like them-" she said to herself as she looked at some of the most popular celebrities. She continued looking over things and listening to her music. After a few more minutes she got up and walked over to her kitchen, she was home alone most of the time, her older sister Madison whom was twenty one worked since Mia was only fourteen. They lived in an old small house out in the country, they didn't have that many things and they struggled at times to even pay the rent. They both dreamed of one day when these things wouldn't worry them anymore and they could have a normal life.
"What I would give to live normally" said Mia as she started to dig through her mini fridge, "we struggle to even eat while other people waste their money on other stuff-" she finally found a water bottle and a piece of bread, "guess this will do" she said and walked back to her room.
As she was walking back to her room the radio was on at low, "And now for an interview with Crimson also known as 'Lights Out' the interviewer said" she turned up the volume and listed, after a while the interview ended with the interviewer saying "and don't miss Crimson's concert here in California, he'll be holding a meet and greet for all you fans!" and then it went silent. Then there came an exited scream.
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god-" she squealed then fell on her bed, "I'm going to meet Lights Out!"
Mia then got her phone and dialed her older sister, Madison. Madison was twenty one and had taken care of Mia since she was nineteen, so that meant that Madison was in charge of her.
"Hey Madi!" Mia squealed.
"What do you need money for now?" she grumbled over the phone.
"Well, as you know I love Lights Out...and...well...he has a concert here in town next week!" she shouted.
"We'll talk when I get home, but right now just calm down, I'm at work and everyone is staring-" she whispered.
"Oh okay- bye." Mia whispered back.
Mia proceed to lie on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling for a good twenty minutes before she got up and ran to the living room. She hurried past her sweatshirt with Lights' logo on it, she picked up a sewing needle and some string.
"You know what- I have to be prepared for that concert, so now I'm gonna add my own touches on this thing I made." she said looking at it with determination.
After a few hours she had sewn her name on the back in black and on the front was Lights' logo, a tilted golden crown.
"Hmmm- it looks a bit plain, maybe I'll add something to the sleeves!" she shouted to herself.
After a few more hours she had sewn a thick black line on each sleeve which made it look quite better.
"Finally, I have my sweatshirt ready, and then maybe he'll be able to sign it on the back or in the hood!" she shouted to herself again.
She sat on the couch for a while admiring her hard work on the sweatshirt, then her older sister Madison walked into the room holding a few grocery bags.
"Hey Mimi I'm home!" she exclaimed.
"I think I can see that" Mia giggled. Madison stuck her tongue out at her, "at least help me put the groceries into the fridge" she said a bit annoyed.
"Woah- wait...what's with the groceries we don't usually buy them unless it's a special occasion or we're having company over" Mia said.
"Well...you could say...that I maybe...got a raise!" She exclaimed.
"No way- does that mean we finally have enough money to maybe move and live normally?!"
"Maybe, but right now I got to make dinner" Madison said with a smile on her face.
"Okay but first look at what I made!" Mia exclaimed holding her sweatshirt "I added some stuff to it, do you think he'll sign it?" she said with a smile.
"Hey...Mia don't get your hopes up...you know he's a busy guy and there are a lot of people going...he might not be able to talk or sign something for everyone..."
"Well..." she looked down at the ground her ears down "oh...I guess you're right..." she said quietly as she sat herself down.
