The life of the Spirits.

Chapter 12

When School was let out everyone headed home immediatley, Cassie searched frantically in hope of a glipse at Tannah or Jordan Hunter or any of her friends. She spun to one side and saw Tannah being led out of the school by Hunter, he was full filling his promise so she smiled at that. Before she got to them someone pulled her in the opposite direction. She was having to duck under all the arms of people in the school crowd. She couldnt see the face of the person who was running her through the crowd, but when they came to a stop she jerked her hand away from the person and looked up to see Deke was the one pulling her, she lunged forward and hugged him and he picked her up and started running again. He didnt stop until they got to the large iron gate of the big stone house they came from early in the morning. He set her down and they started walking to the front door of the gate, when they got in the house Cassie was instantly attacked by Sydneys hug, Cassie picked her up and kissed her forehead, she walked her to one of the back rooms that had the name Kristina she opened the door and walked in. The room was decorated with pink and white and purple iems everywhere. The bed had a pink and purple canapy hanging from the celeing that covered the beds ure white sheets and covers and pillows. Cassie opened the canapy and roled the covers from the bed. She laid Sydney down and puled the covers ver her. She kissed her head again and started to walk away but Sydney reached her arm out to stop her.

SYDNEY;"Sing the ancient lulluby to me Cassie. Please?"

CASSIE; "Your the one who sings Sydney not me, ive never sung a song before."

SYDNEY; "Please just try please, im scared and my mother always sings it when im scared, please?"

CASSIE; "Okay.

In the world we wonder in, there are boundries that we must live by, for if they arent obeyed a tradgedy shall come, but as long as you sleep the dreams you create will keep us safe tonight, just close your eyes and sleep, dream over and over and over again. Dont stop till the bell rings out for light, when you shall wake and play, and stay in our world."

When she was done she hardly noticed that she was crying and Sydney was fast asleep. She whiped the tears from her eyes before exiting the room. She shut the door and walked toward the main room where everyone was seated waiting to be served dinner in a few hours.

MAN; "Oh there you are where is the little one?"

CASSIE;" Resting leave her be."

WOMAN; "You will not order us around young lady i am going to get that girl and there is nothing you can do to stop me!"

CASSIE;" Oh really i would think twice about that."

WOMAN; " I dont think so little miss tough luck there."

The women started to go towards the back rooms but Cassie got in front of her with a knife pointing at her to stop her. The man and the boys stood up and took a step forward.

CASSIE; " I said leave her be!"

WOMAN; "As you wish"

A few hours later a light sounding bell rang and the woman shouted "DINNER IS READY" Cassie stood up from the stool she'd placed in front of Sydneys door, she opened the door and walked into the room towards the bed. She opened the canapee and sat next to Sydney all asleep. She rubbed her back and craddled her in her arms. Sydney awoke and hugged Cassie close to her.

CASSIE; "Come on dinner is ready and the Mr and Mrs are waiting for us."

The two walked into the dining room, the mr and mrs started eating while the kids prayed out loud....

CASSIE, ZACH, DEKE, TIM, SYDNEY; "Let us thank our lord for this good meal, bless those who prepared it, bless those who provide the ingredients, bless the land they grew from, bless the holy lord who made this earth a santuary for the human race, and bless this food to our bodies, the bread as the body who was crusified for our ancestors bad sins, the drink as the blood and the rest as the world provided for us. Amen."

They did this each meal for a few more weeks. Until one day they were all talking and horse playing around in the main room. The man came in and everyone stopped his wife behind him with cookies and milk for everyone.

MAN;"Okay so this praying thing you do, it needs to stop now we dont do that kind of thing here so please just dont do it."

ZACH;" We will do as we wish."

DEKE, TIM;" Thats right."

WOMAN; "You will stop, please do not make me... put my children on the rope."

CASSIE; "WE ARE NOT YOUR CHILDREN, YOU DUMB DIMPO!"

WOMAN;"You are as long as you live under my roof and eat my food and sleep in my beds."

CASSIE; "NEVER!!!!!!"

With that a blast of fire lept from Cassies hand and hit the wall. Relizing what she had done she moved her other hand infront of Sydneys eyes and made the memory go away and make it as if a cord sparked. Tim, Deke and Zach lunged forward and took Cassie and Sydney to the Stone room where Cassie had first awoken.
